Layering eyes over hair seems to be something terrible to do in the eyes of quite many people. It is admittedly illogical to do, but I made a HA where I did just that, and I'm not sure whether it still looks ok or whether I should really not do that, especially since I'm really happy with the HA otherwise. for comparison: without eyes So, might it be okay like that, or do I really have to change it?

It's your HA, and it's up to you if you wanna do it like that or not, as long as you're satisfied with it. well thats my opinion though. and to answer your question, I think both look fine to me

Being that it's your HA, the decision lies entirely upon your shoulders. I, however, can't stand illogically layered outfits, and something like that, which is a physical impossibility, really grinds at me, as I know it would at other people who really strive to properly layer their HA.

I think the eyes over that hair actually look pretty natural.

I like it better with the eyes under the hair but it is up to you. It really looks nicer without the eyes showing though.

Oh? Natural? How often does your hair naturally fall behind not only your eyeballs, but the brows and lids as well?

Sticklers for layering often find sloppy face and/or hair layering to be one of the most spazz-worthy things to look at.

personally, i don't like the eyes over the hair, but that's just my opinion! i think it looks kind of sloppy, like said. but that's just me~

.. I just meant that it didnt look unnatural to me. I mean, I havent been here very long at all so had the OP not specifically said that they actually layered it that way, I never would have known.

I'm not really understanding why other people care so much about the way someone layers their own human avatars anyway.

Well, I'd say it looks better under the hair. Although the eyes create a nice balance with the brown, eyes over hair just creepy the hell out of me.

Thanks for your advice, all of you. (Not wanting to ping everyone and get on your nerves) I'll think about it a bit more. Maybe I can find something better.

Maybe contemplate a different hairstyle, something that lets you show the eyes while still putting them under the hair?

Personally, I think it doesn't look that bad with that hair and those eyes. Normally it bugs me a bit, but not so much in this instance.
