So I've had this really bad needle phobia since I was a kid. Getting blood drawn would send me into a panic attack, hysterical crying turning pale, breaking out in hives and such. But the last 2 times I had blood drawn I did not flip out at all. It confused the shit out of me. Then I realized my meds for bipolar have stopped the phobia 8D SO HAPPY! I can go get paid for donating blood and plasma. Have you overcome a phobia or fear or still struggle with any?

Congrats!!!

I still struggle. -_- Vomit phobia paired with panic disorder. Absolutely debilitating. Without my medicine, I can't eat, sleep, leave the house, talk to people, it's hard to breathe, I get nauseous, I get chest pains, I get tunnel vision, etc. There's no cure for it either, basically just have to deal with it because there's no other choice. ;-;

Congrats, that must be such a relief :)

I have the same issue with needles, even now I feel like a nervous little kid while I'm waiting to get a blood test done. But what's worse is that every time I have to get my blood drawn, I just stick my arm out casually...and then proceed to pass out unless I put my head between my knees. I can say 'I'm not nervous' all I want but it's hard to feel tough when you have a habit of slumping over unconscious in the chair :P

I have ocd yah but I probably have a phobia of dirtiness like I wash my hands like sometimes 100 times a day it got a little better though few years ago I had to be hospitalized because I dried out my hands from washing them too much. Oh yeah and like any kind of bugs I hate LADY BUGS lol.

Congrats, dude! I'm glad you managed to overcome it. > u <

If we're talking anxiety wise, I'm bad in front of people. Not just crowds. Even if it's just one person. If I don't know them very well, I'll be frozen, feel nauseous, and think a bunch of negative things. I think I only really get so panicked over it because I'm paranoid about what they'll think of me. I annoy myself so much, lol.

Otherwise, I'm claustrophobic. As a kid, I loved hiding in small spaces. I always ran away and hid for ages if I thought someone was angry, ahaaa. But now I even feel constricted and confined in a substantially sized room. Even if I'm cold, I feel like the windows have to be open. I can't lock doors so I avoid public bathrooms. It's really, really stupid. I kind of hate myself for it. ^ ^ ;;

Arachnids too, even though I always think, Meh, I was probably overreacting last time.

I'm working on my fear of underwater stuff. Like if you look down and you can just make out shapes of logs and things... omg. Luckily it pretty much never comes up in normal life situations, but I love to swim so I'm working on it so I can have more fun.

I seem to be getting better with thunder storms during the day. At night is a different story. I also have a fear of needles... it's hard to explain. I'm not really scared of them, it's just the anxiety of getting a needle (to get blood work) that sends me into an anxiety attack.

I wish I could overcome my phobia. I am so afraid of storms, its unreal. I check the weather 5+ times a day, plan events around it... I will take sleeping medicine and force myself to be unconscious through them if I can. They send me in to tears, and occasionally i'll worry till I have a headache or a panic attack. If i know there will be one later in the week, I will panic till its over. They're just..... sfkivdfihvnj;dgf Scary as hell.

Damn that sounds bad :c Storms are one of my favorite things. Though I have nightmares about tornadoes even though they don't happen where I'm at.

Congrats on overcoming your phobia! I struggle really badly with arachnophobia, but with medication my social anxiety is more or less under control, so that's good!
