I don't know if this has already been suggested, but it would be nice to make a customizable alert for shop purchases.

Right now, we get an alert for everytime someone purchases something in our shops. It would be cool to have an option that lets you input an sP amount to alert you about.

For example, "Only alert me if my shop till reaches XXX amount of sP" or "Only alert me if someone purchases something worth XXX sP or more".

I just think it would be nice to limit the alerts we get from the shops because that alert is kind of annoying for someone who buys something super cheap. but maybe I'm the only one who is annoyed by it...who knows! :)

Edit: Haha totally misread the thread. It would be neat to customize the pings to a certain amount, like "ping me after every 5k of sales" or something. I don't remember which other site it is but there's one that doesn't tell you about sales below something like 100 credits and it pretty much works.

The option might be nice, although I could see people wanting pings modified depending on store.

I would love this if it were possible. I typically frag anything under 2k because I hate seeing "you have saless" and I get all excited like "whoo money" and then it's like "1,455 sP!" and it's like nevermind false alarm, still broke .__. I'd be a lot more likey to just price everything if I didn't get events for anything under like 5k.

I know! And if I autoprice my shop and keep doing stuff around the site...it seems like every 4 seconds I get a new "Shop Purchases!" Alert and I just get so frustrated that I wait until I'm signing off for the day to autoprice!

I really hope it catches on, because it is probably my most annoying alert because, like you said, I get so excited and most times...for basically no sP :(

I agree it can be a real hassle constantly getting pinged for selling piddling crap.

- there is a bit of a work around, if you're interested. I have turned off my shop pings, but added the "shop Profit" widgets to my dashboard. That way I don't get bugged every few seconds, but can keep a bit of an eye in case the till jumps significantly. Not as good as being able to choose when you want an event, but its not too bad.

That would be pretty cool! I'd love to be able to set it to alert only if an item over ___ sP has sold, or as suggested every certain amount of profit (or hitting till goals or something).

That is why I don't activate the alerts... too many for too little. And I don't see the point of knowing... I take out the sP out of my shop once a day anyway!

My work around to the constant notifications is just to keep the "you have purchases" alert on my sidebar and just let it sit there forever. Once the shop pings you, you stay pung, which is nice. It also provides a handy link straight to the shop log/profit too.

With the new shops - is this something that is possible? I would love to only get notifications for selling items over a certain price point :)

I do the same thing as and just leave my Shop Profits widget up on my dashboard. :) I hate notification clutter though, and this way I can see how much sP is in my till at any time, and deem when it's worth withdrawing.

edit: (for anyone who needs to know) You can add the shop widget by going to Personal > User dashboard > Widgets > and drag the Shop Profits one up to "Your widgets." Presto!
