I bought pokemon white 2, and my team for the game (and possibly competitive play) is:

Arcanine (, if any of you can help me get a growlithe/arcanine with this moveset, let me know <3)

What teams have you guys planned? Can I do better here/any suggestions?

I don't think you need to have Thunder Punch, Thunder, and Electro Ball on Ampharos. It's mostly a special attacker, so you can drop Thunder Punch. Ampharos isn't that fast, so I'm not sure if Electro Ball would do more damage than Discharge, so you might be better off going with Discharge. though its static could help with Electroball's base power. I would give it Signal Beam at least, for coverage.

Not sure what my 6th will be... any suggestions welcome. I usually like to stick with Pokemon I can get before elite 4 (I have Pokemon in White, but I'd rather not trade until after the game)

I usually build a competitive team after I finish the game so I can breed for nature/EV train XD

I am doing the challenge thing can't remember its name right now but you can only use the first pokemon you catch from each route you visit. So my team thus far is Tepig and Purlion. Can't really plan ahead right as of now, oh also I have to release my pokemon if they faint. So got to be extra careful with them. so I will keep you guys up to-date as my team grows more. My pokemons names are Armond and Christoph.

I haven't actually started playing yet (I'm putting it off until after an important exam; I don't need any more distractions) but I have my team all planned out and bred. I planned it in advance with my friend ; we decided our BW2 teams would be based off of our characters!

I do need advice though, should I continue on with Zoroark, or should I switch out for the woobat I was using before I got him? I can't decide. xD

I'd definitely recommend changing up Ampharos's moveset! I'd give it Signal Beam and Power Gem, when it learns them (which admittedly isn't until levels 55 and 71, respectively.) Electro Ball isn't very good on Ampharos because of its low speed, and I personally don't find Thunder very reliable due to its 70% accuracy; I much prefer Thunderbolt. Unfortunately you don't get the Thunderbolt TM until near the very end of the game though, and Ampharos doesn't learn Thunderbolt naturally to my knowledge.

Anyway, I beat the main story on my Black 2 on Monday; this was my endgame team!

Lulu the female lv66 Floatzel (Serious nature) -- Strength, Surf, Ice Beam, Waterfall (meant to replace Strength with Return, but I forgot haha) Engarde the male lv67 Zangoose (Hardy nature) -- Crush Claw, Shadow Claw, Close Combat, Swords Dance Henrietta the female lv62 Galvantula (Docile nature) -- Electro Ball, Discharge, Bug Buzz, Energy Ball (... meant to teach her Thunderbolt but forgot oh god I am terrible dgff; ) Coal the male lv61 Magmortar (Gentle nature) -- Clear Smog, Faint Attack, Flamethrower, Fire Punch Harpie the female lv56 Mandibuzz (Naive nature) -- Defog, Fly, Air Slash, Dark Pulse (I used her like... twice in the game, haha.) Duchess the female lv48 Serperior (Timid nature) -- Cut, Energy Ball, Toxic, Leech Seed

I'm undecided on a 'competitive' team right now, and I don't especially like competitive play anyway. (Tiers, man. Tiers. I don't want to have to pick from tiers, I want a team of my favorites!) I do have an EV trained Galvantula from my White though haha, and I have several good-Nature'd favorites from Platinum that I plan on EV training and whatnot. Probably gonna start with my Buizel!

Thanks! I'm quite attached to my little team myself. I try to keep my teams as balanced as I can. I really wish I'd used a Ground-type instead of Serperior, though; aside from beating Clay, she wasn't very helpful, unfortunately, and there were a lot of times I wished I had a Ground-type. I've never played without one before and I would've had one instead of the Normal-type but I reeeeally wanted to train a Zangoose, ahaha. Glad I did, too, because I found a shiny Zebstrika while searching for a Zangoose! :D Not to mention that near the end of the game, my Zangoose was winning half my battles for me, aha.

Anyway, good luck on your Nuzlocke run! Nuzlockes are super fun challenges... maybe I should do one on White 2, oooh.

ooh good luck Nuzlocking. I did the challenge in Black, it took a lot of grinding XD Defensive Pokemon helps a lot, I had Cofagrigus and Ferrothorn, and they were awesome.

Lol you finished the game in one day? I'm only at Nimbasa, though I prefer to take it at a slower pace, so I can enjoy it for longer, haha

I think you're fine keeping Zoroark over Woobat; You already have Psychic coverage with Solosis (and Psyduck). I usually like keeping a flyer on my team for travelling purposes, but I feel like Zoroark would be more useful in battle. Though I don't think you need 3 dark moves on it; you could replace one of them with U-turn. Fury Swipes kinda sucks, I think you'd be better off with Return

I had to release my first Pokemon last night. Sad Pollyanne my pidove Sigh. But yeah its going to be interesting. I am grinding right now before the second gym. I have a six Pokemon team right now.

Yeah I thought so too and yeah poor pollyanne, I was very resistant to letting her go actually and was ready to cry before i did it. I was like dang Nuzlock sucks.

Yeah, but it can be fun and challenging. It made me battle a lot more conservatively, and love defensive Pokemon :D I don't know if I'd ever Nuzlocke a new game though. When I did the challenge, I looked up all of the Elite 4's Pokemon and their movesets and planned it out very carefully (dunno if that counts as cheating, oh well), and I don't like doing that for a game I haven't played through yet 'cause spoilers.

Yeah, that's what I figured, though I really hate not having a flying type. Ahh well. XD I have return , I'll teach him that now since I hate fury swipes. XD As for U-Turn, where do you get that one? o:

If you want to have a Flying type, maybe you could switch Woobat for Solosis? Zoroark learns U-turn at "Start", which means you'll need to re-teach it by going to the Move Relearner (he's in Mistralton in Black/White, and at the Pokemon World Tournament south of Driftveil in 2), and giving him a Heart Scale (which can be found by the dousing machine I think)
