I'm going to assume people won't like this suggestion, but here goes. Ever since this policy has been put into place, it's been slightly bothering me.

Refund Policy If you purchase an item and within 10 days the price changes, file a ticket here to get the difference in CSC.

I feel like it should be reworded to apply to only permanent cash shop changes, or be worded to not apply to temporary sales. I'm proposing this because as things stand now, sales like Black Friday would start 10 days before the actual sales come around. To me it seems like it would be a nuisance to refund CSC just because people couldn't wait.

Again, I'm already betting people won't like this suggestion, but I wanted to at least get this off my chest and throw it out there now. If the staff don't have a problem with dealing with potential inquiries like this than I suppose nothing needs to be done. I know this policy was put into place to begin with because of some issues that happened with Black Friday last year, but this seems like too much of a loophole for things to remain as they are.

The best way to be happy with someone is to be happy alone. That way, company is a matter of choice and not a necessity.

Staff refunded last time, so there is a precedent.

If they want to refund money, their problem, not ours.

You're right, if the staff want to deal with it then I won't worry about it anymore. It just seems like it's more trouble than it's worth. A minor rewording of the policy would save everyone a headache in the long run.

I'm sure they're aware that they could make that distinction if they wished to. They seem to want it applied to any and all sales.

One could argue that there are no guarantees and Subeta is free to skip annual sales like Black Friday if they wish to. That would be pretty funny, actually.

This issue was hashed out in several topics when the policy was announced. Staff decided it wasn't worth it to change it.

The advantage is CSC savings, but it comes with the risk of the sale not happening. It's a pretty small risk (even years the staff has practically flat-out said 'no sale' we've had something) but I suppose they feel it cancels out.

Edit: Oh and pet names available earlier (forgot that one!) but still.

From my standpoint, I spend exactly as much actual money on CSC as I can afford at any one time, so if I get $10 of CSC and spend all of it 4 days before Thanksgiving, then go "Oh balls, a sale!" and ask for a refund, I'm still going to spend the excess of that 1000 CSC at the sale. They're not getting any less money, because they already have my money, from the initial purchase of CSC. If the refund policy is - and correct me if I'm wrong, please, as I have never needed to utilize the refund - to give back the actual credits, not the money already tendered, I guess I don't get why it would be a problem.

But I also will freely acknowledge, I can barely afford living right now, let alone luxuries like CSC very often, so I'm guessing my perspective and purchasing habits aren't the type that spurned the concern in the first place?

Just FYI, most IRL stores have a similar policy!

These policies have limits, though, such as no refund if the item was on sale (Black Friday)

Wasn't the policy added after a temporary sale though? Besides, if the item is going to change price within 10 days of your purchase, chances are it's for a temporary sale. Why else would a longtime item suddenly change prices?

I've never heard of someone buying things a day before Black Friday, then turning around and going back to the store the next day and get half their money back when the stuff they bought goes on sale.

The policy was added in the middle of Black Friday sales last year, so a lot of people were asking for CSC back. Prices have changed permanently in the past before, like username changes, and the price for pet slots have changed several times now. The custom pet feature had a price change shortly after it was implemented, just to name some things that had their prices changed.

Edited for typos.

I'm sure it varies, it isn't something I've done specifically, but I know a few people who have. I have at Target gotten money back when something was full price 14 days previously and on sale when I was back. You just go to the returns window and show them your receipt. I've never done black friday shenanigans, and I'm sure some stores have policies like that, but not all of them. My third job doesn't exclude black friday from our two week window. They key is that you have to actually be there the day of the sale, not a week later "oh I heard this was on sale."

(*wifey :P ) Honestly I still don't think it makes that much of a difference, prices don't change that often other than sales, and hardly anything IN the cash shop changes really, other than for a sale. I'd still rather see the policy left as is /shrug
