it was only brought to my attention on the shoutbox, so Im not sure..I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the bad word filter(as it wasn't changed for me since I have that feature off)

HAHA that is funny I am sure that at the time it was intentional because some people use the first three letters as a chatspeak version of the vulgar word.

Well I mean it is because of the bad word filter definitely but I was just explaining why it was considering it a bad word. I guess I have never used the word on the boards cause I never noticed it either and I have my filter on at all times because I am a MM.

I just saw the filter at work in the Current Event sub-forum. "lovee "service" dogs on rise"

It's a strange choice to filter because it's not a curse or slur and "faux" is acceptable haha. It doesn't even filter to a real replacement word or phrase.

Like I said, the first three letters can seen as a chatspeak version of the vulgar form of the word sex ;) so the first three letters are filtered to love and then ad the e xD

If "fak" is being censored, then shouldn't frick and freak be as well? That's how I see it personally.

I think it's fine just to censor the actual objectionable words for PG-13 purposes. Filtering the euphemisms is a bit much in my opinion. Also my favorite filters are what unintentionally happens to therapist and whoever replaced cum. :D

I see your point and I can agree to it, but there's so many variables. Like what about "LMFAO?" Is that censored? Or "WTF?" I've never used the censor system so I'm not sure and I don't feel like turning it on. If they are, forgive me lol
