I am trying to catch pkmn high as 30's but no ball seems to work on them..is there a technic to catch them? I tried ABA but that doesn't seem to help much:(

You try putting them to sleep or paralyzing them? It all depends on which Pokemon you're trying to catch. There's no button combos to use since each Pokemon has their own catch rate.

Yeah, like said, you should try using status effects to weaken them, i.e. burn, freeze, paralysis, poison, etc. Paralysis and frozen effects probably work best because it decreases their evasiveness. You could also attack them until their health is low. Just be careful not to knock 'em out.

You could also try using stronger types of balls, like Ultra Balls and stuff. c:

It's often chance, really. I once spent ages trying to catch an Absol. Can't recall what level it was, but my pokémon were all stronger so it was hard not to accidentally knock them out. = u =;; Took me aaages, but I did it!

Having a pokemon that knows moves like "false swipe" can help in addition to freezing and sleep-inducing moves. It'll cut the opposing pokemon down to just 1 HP, reducing it as low as it can go without making it faint. That will really help. Good luck!!
