Think it's about time I check in again and see what could be improved. :) I'm eyeing the rainbow vortex and the mirrored shield maybe? But dunno if they actually make sense or not for what I've got.

I really hate giving advice right now, as we're supposed to be getting a complete weapon revamp 'soon', which could mean 'before the end of the year' or 'next week'. We don't know.

That being said, first I'll direct you to the Recommended Weapons Guide, a sort of bible for battle weapons.

Second, I would suggest replacing Malerias Shortsword, the Eternal, and the Mysterious Old Box. I would get another weapon that heals, like the Reborn Icewand of Doom, Purple Spider Squeaky Toy, Gutting Knife, or Prodigy Staff. Something along that line. I would also get a Recycle Blaster, and either a Truth Serum or Soma Tablets. And finally, I would look at investing in a Rainbow Vortex and a Shinwas Temple Shard. Those things are amazing.

Anyways, that's my personal opinion, and things could very well change with the revamp.

I figured the Eternal and the MOB would need to go and I guess replacing Malerias Shortsword makes sense too--so I went ahead and picked up a Reborn Icewand of Doom and a Truth Serum since I had some points left over from the reading drive. :) I've been wanting to get a Rainbow Vortex but keep hoping they'll come back in the CS since there don't seem to be too many on the market these days. Do you have any advice for scrolls?

If you have enough reading drive points left, I say get a reviver of the lion. It's a 90% heal and can be equipped along with your phoenix quill. What you have now looks pretty good though, although I second the recycle blaster and RV/STS.

For scrolls, maybe look into some or scrolls. They're great defensively.

So so very close to being able to get that but not quite--I've got 297 RD points left. :/ Guess I should have bought another few books at the time just to even things out, lol. I'll have to save up a bit for the blaster and RV since I blew all my sp on the icewand, but I'll definitely have to keep my eyes out for some good trades on those and will look into those scrolls - thanks for the advice! :)

You set looks good for your pet's size, but you may want to look at phasing your bomb out. The most cost effective godlies are the Trident and Ether, and you've already got one. I would suggest visiting Recommended Weapons Guide and scouting future upgrade possibilities or other 100% blockers like your MSS to add more diversity to your set. Otherwise, your only real crutch at this point is your spells and AP.
