I am looking to have two commissions done, first off thank you for taking the time to come here and look at this. My commission ideas are as follows:

CW One Idea

I was looking to make a Cheshire cat Companion, in the combined styling of American McGree’s version and Tim Burton's version.

For the Cheshire Cat, it is meant to be colored to look like it is Nightmare. One of his ears should be partly removed like he was in a fight and it was bite off. I have attached some pics of different ideas I have as well as two poses that I've found which I think would be cool, but not quite what I'm looking for.

Pic 1 - I love how the body looks in this one, makes it look a bit more evil. Pic 2 - I like the body shape of this, so I was thinking someone can combine the two images, so it looks as if he has tufts of fur and there is bone showing through in sections. Pic 3 - This is how I want the head to be drawn, with the tufts of hair on the side, however I do not want the earring to be a part of this, so if it can be removed I would greatly appreciate it. Pic 4 - On this one I like the expression as well as the way the paws and nails are drawn, I would like this to be incorporated into the commission if possible. I would like to use this pose if this is made into a head layer item. Pic 5 - The pose on this one would work for either a ground/ Foreground item.

CW Two Idea

On this one I was thinking of make it either a Foreground item or a background I leave it up to you which you think would look better. What I want to do is have a set of Spade Deck of Card Solders, maybe two or three of them in the image. I would want them to be a mix between Tim Burton’s version and the original design. I would love it if they could be done to look like Zombies coming out of the grave, they could be done up in Graveyard colors. Here, Here 2 are two references of what I thought the solders might look like.

Ps. I would prefer to have both of these done, but depending on how much it will cost I might have to pick one or the other.

Ps. I am not currently sure if I want this to be a Foreground item yet or a Head item, so I would love your opinion on this.

I can try doing a sketch for both to see which I think I could do better for you...would that help?

I don't know if you saw, but someone did do an American McGee/Malice in Wonderland inspired Chess: - the shape is changed to accommodate the tribute criteria though.

No I hadn't seen that, oh man that is awesome! but it isn't exactly what I was looking for.

Oh, I know the original idea behind it is definitely different from how hers turned out - some of that is the requisite changes. Also, I'd hunt up 2 other ref images than the last two you posted just in case - unless you drew those last two, they're likely going to get you a rejection because they're private art and not actual art by the people who created that version of Alice - the Subeta team doesn't like you to use private art as a reference =/

I do like your idea though and I'd be interested to see it finished, because one can never have too many versions of Chess - good luck! :)

Yeah - those look like official art which should be fine with the CW approval team :)

I know a lot of people were getting told/asked not to use anything they found on DeviantArt etc, since many of those artists don't want their items used by other folks, so it's always best to find as much official art as possible for references - that way there's no issue for them :)
