Hi, this is my first Morostide but... I'm under the impression we're meant to be able to get different types of carved pumpkins from carving them, not just the 'new' ones.

I didn't think this was the case, but I saw on Subetalodge that pumpkins said "Randomly obtained from carving a Fresh Pumpkin, Carving Pumpkin or Freshly Picked Pumpkin", so surely these vine pumpkins should be the same too?

All I'm getting is the carved pumpkins with vines on.

There's at least three years worth of pumpkins on site and the ones showing up now, floating around on the site, are this year's. You can still obtain the past two years pumpkins through user shops but you aren't going to get them floating around the site. If that makes sense.

Yeah, I figured we'd just be getting the vine pumpkins (this year's pumpkins) and not previous ones.

What I mean is, it seems for instance, carving last year's pumpkin could give you carved pumpkins from last year or previous years as well. I was wondering if that would be the case with these pumpkins. @ I don't know how to explain it...

Well, for example, if I look at the Subetalodge description for 'Aeanoid Carved Pumpkin', it says it can be achieved by carving any of the 3 previous years' pumpkins. Why not this year's, too?

To avoid people hoarding 1500 pumpkins to get the new ones super fast, I bet.

If I'm remembering right, the year's specific pumpkins give you that Morostide's pumpkins until the event is over then it like rolls over into being able to carve for any year previous. I think.

Last year, the freshly picked pumpkins only gave us last year's selection of carved pumpkins, so that would be the case this year too. Freshly picked pumpkins can give us both last year's and this year's carved pumpkins, but the new pumpkins floating around the site can only give us this year's.
