So I am really super new to this and I was working on my first CW item- I don't know if it will actually ever make it, but I at least wanted to, see what people thought/what I could improve on. c:
I have no idea how to put it on a female avi, so sorry about that. I really wanna get into making CW's and I think I have figured out most of what I have to do, except for the theoretical idea of batches. (How they work, really/why people prefer them over the CS in there.) That and how on earth people manage them on bases. So any help from people who have done this before would be lovely. Is it worth the investment?

Honestly I really like your style of shading. It's pretty unique and different! I think your lines are pretty strong as well, however, the shape of the wig itself is somewhat awkward k. Ow it falls. While the shading gives it life the lineart + shape make it seem not as smooth as it could be. I think the potential is amazing and studying up on the basic flow of wigs would really so wonders for you. I'm totally not the best person for this but my partner could help give you more advice.
In terms of batches, most people dont put things into the CS just because managing your batches is more controlled on how many copies can/will exist as well as potential profit and overall value of your item. Putting it into the CS can somewhat diminish that value if left in indefinitely. More simple things like makeup lashes, have been put in for certain periods of time then removed again. This method typically helps when you have a batch not completely full but still want to make it available to those who may have been slotted/wanted the item.
A lot of that is my reasoning as to how I handle batches, etc. (I typically do the slotting my co-owned shop with Meso)
:"D Hello welcome aha This is a really good start I do agree with noir the shading is really unique! The thing is wigs need black lineart ( yours is red i think) outside and inside as well ( inside it can be thinner because its meant to make the wig more flowy! Your lineart is strong but is quite inconsistent and in some parts is very thick and in others its really thin, which is a reason for possible denial Also when drawing hair you need to use eyes because or else it might be too high or look awkward when put on the ha base. Also again on the lineart its very shaky I know your trying to make it seem wispy and flowy but the lines should be consistent and when adding wisps you can use a thinner brush to do it ( dont over exaggerate it though) You also seem to lack a few layers of shading, when shading you can use different colours but right now it looks like red streaks and I think the base colour of this is supposed to be platinum or blonde in either case you should use closer shades like different shades of light yellow and maybe lighter shades of red so the contrast is not so apparent. One more thing when doing bangs, I see that you used a large red thick line to separate but that is a nono because bangs should also flow in the same direction with the hair and although you are supposed to add lines to make it flow, these lines make it looks like the bangs were glued on! Since your a new artist I would not recommend a braid style ( if Im not wrong this is Elsa's hair from Frozen?) braids are really really hard to do and you should try something shorter if you dont mind me saying. Of course challenging yourself is not always a bad thing but I think its a good place to start! http://subeta.net/forums/view/826482 http://subeta.net/forums/view/851520 http://subeta.net/forums/view/864624 Heres some tutorials that really have helped some artists become amazing!
