As for its use. Its got great attack, but its lack of defense really puts a hole in it.

I personally love mine, but like billy said, it lacks defense. If you pair it with a nice weapon that will cover you, it can be great. But without having a weapon to protect you from an open attack, it is not a great weapon of choice.

I really only see anyone buying one in order to delete it or on the road to the big spender achievement reward. Something as easy to buy as a Malice would probably be a better option.

Yeah, the malice is probably a better choice. I only have the ether since I fell in love with it when I first joined. I swore that I would own it no matter what... so I made it my goal to get it :P

Right now I am buying small items in the MC and selling them to get my big spender count up but eventually I hope I will only need to buy one Ether to get the War Plate. They are a pain to resell XD

By all means it is a nice weapon to have and I will keep mine whenever it is proper to spend the sP to get one, but there are better alternatives for a similar pricetag.

Not worth it. You are far better off saving a little more and buying an oracles staff of enlightenment
