Another art example for my (soon to be set up) shop! This is Cudi, a mothkeet- I adopted his design a while ago and have realized I'm not at all used to drawing birds! Which is funny, since I like them so much. All critiques welcome; I'm determined to improve my anatomy. His design looks a bit weird so if you'd like a link to his ref to help crit just ask.

aww I like it a lot! it's so cute!

the only suggestion I might have is that while the wing and chest feathers are detailed, his tail looks very flat and ribbon-like in comparison (I'm not sure if that's intended or not!)

I don't know much about bird anatomy, but he looks great to me :D

Thanks! :) You're right- to be honest I'm not even sure how I wanted the tail to look? I'm not sure if it's furry like a moth or smooth like normal bird tail feathers. Oh well, just another excuse to draw him again!

but ya... if you wanna garner some attention for your artping, I would suggest you do something fun like a 1sP auction (so you can ping artsale!) or if you wanna go the conventional route of "buffing up my artping group" you can make a temporary freebie board (but after some experience with that... if you want commissioners to join your group and not a lot of freebie-crowders, then go the first route)

wahhhh really cuteee~ I love parakeets >w< and dont worry, lineless art looks just as pretty 8D; honestly I dislike lineartting the most cause i want the lines to look perfect and all that ;A; but sadly I cant do decent lineless so ill have to stick with lineart ^_^;

thanks! and yeah I dislike linearting for exactly the same reason, when I do try it the lineart takes more time than anything else.

what program do you use? I've tried photoshop and flash and been happy with neither; I really wish Paint SAI worked on macs.
