I recently got a new laptop and have waited until now to install my tablet. Unfortunately, it is not working no matter what I do.

To begin with, even after reinstalling it twice, updating it with the latest drivers, restarting my computer numerous times, and doing the whole 'remove tablet preferences' trick, I still get the 'please reinstall tablet software [tablet software mismatch]' error. Because of this error, I cannot get pen pressure to work.

I also have a one second lag each time I put the pen down. Program (photoshop, SAI, or even paint) doesn't matter, the lag is still there.

I have a wacom intuos tablet, model PTZ-431W, and the laptop runs Windows 7. If anyone knows how to fix this, I will love you forever.

Try to install it while your computer is in safe mode and see if that works.

Unfortunately, it's not compatible with Windows 7, but only Windows Vista/XP/2000 or Mac OS X 10.2.8+. This is the same problem my sister ran into when she got her new laptop. :( I'm not certain there's anything you can do besides purchase a newer. Luckily for my sister, today is her birthday and we got her a new one. :P
