I recently went through the CW pawn shop looking for a (relatively) cheap wig to match a specific outfit, and I ended up finding a lot of nice wigs that I wished someone (with more csc than me) would take home. A lot of these seem to me to have greater potential than they are credited with. Try them on and see for yourself. ;)

Anybody else know of something pretty in the pawn shop that needs to be liberated? It doesn't have to be a wig. I happen to know there are some gorgeous leg items and lots of shoes in there too.

Let me just start this off by saying I've never bought a CW before, I own like 4 and most of them were gifts. But this whole time, I have been in LOVE with this one CW. Partially because it's gorgeous, and partially because I have a soft spot for wigs that have matched my hair in any of its colors that I've had it. So when I saw it in the pawn shop, I kinda freaked out: It was a really rare occasion that I had CSC on me, and I bought it immediately. n.n They also have one of the recolors of it in there too, and I r e a l l y wish I could grab it :O

Man the Pawn Shop is great. I've gotten some really nice things from it in the past.

You have to be diligent about checking it often if you're in the market for some nice CWs though. People toss good ones in all the time, but the really nice ones get grabbed quickly.

Aww, I hope you get the funds and find the wig still in the pawn shop. I only recently got into CWs myself, and I've gone a bit nuts, so I think the wig in my signature might be my last aquisition. It's such an expensive trade.

I've started checking it many times a day. There's often one or two new ones, but I've never experienced what happened just now, that a dozen gorgeos cws rained in at once. Ooh, pretty wings! :D

I'm willing to bet a bunch just got dumped because the monthly items just came out. People with no patience want to get them... so they dump a couple of CWs they don't use very much to make some quick csc

More fool they. The monthly collection isn't going anywhere ... for a month. On the other hand, it was an especially lovely collection. I want those wigs.

Yeah this was a pretty month. I'll admit to getting a wig and a cloak pretty much as soon as they were announced, but I had the csc handy. But like you say, those items aren't going anywhere for another month. I took a peek at the pawnshop and I'd say most of the items listed very recently probably could have sold in a couple days to week for more then the piddly 250 csc you get there.

I saw this one yesterday It's so freakin cute I wanted it, but I'm always so broke... Why was I even looking in there? xD I guess fawning over stuff I can't have, I've never had a CW oh well lol

Having had a crash course in CWs, I feel like it's both a separate market and just like any other part of the wardrobe. You just have to decide whether you want to get in on it or not. I made a decision to comission a CW a little while back, but I had to spend real money to do it, and that's not everyone's cup of tea. Even the cheapest items in the pawn shop are 7-8mill sp a piece, and most are more than that. I tend to forget that because 200 or even 300csc sounds so little compared to what is being spent on the r200 board, for instants.

That wig is just adorable, by the way. The things people come up with. So ... are you willing to work up 19mill to spend on it? ^^

I really can't believe someone dumped in the pawn shop- I'm pretty sure that was a private one? And a personal dream CW of mine (and I'm sure a lot of other people too). _

I've always really wanted them, and missed out on them when they were released so I couldn't believe it when I saw them in there.

CWs are really expensive, 19mil is all I even have ^^' By the time I get enough extra saved up it probably won't even be in there anymore... Like I said, oh well, I've gone on this long without having a CW so I can keep gettin on xD

I just caved in and bought when they suddenly appeared. Maybe I need an intervention. Now I'm broke. ^^

The PS is definitely worth stalking. :P Aw, that's pretty! I especially love the shoes. I've tried to stick mostly to big dresses and wigs for my purchases, but I'm beginning to realise how important a good pair of shoes is for an outfit.

I look at the people who have hundreds of CWs and I wonder where they got that much csc or sp or even cash from. How much real money have they spent on this site (though I shouldn't talk), or are they just insanely dedicated? Of course some of them are artists, but not all. How did they amass such a fortune? ... Maybe I'm the one who is lazy. ^^ Anyway, I hope you get your cupcake someday.

Even if I buy CWs on the market... I still check the PS every now and then. There are some fantastic stuff that gets thrown in there, I suppose because people are in a rush to get csc x: Many CS CWs that show up in there are gorgeous too ^u^

I would highlight both and (I'm sure there's more of it there) too, but then again, I still adore the wigs drew ages ago and couldn't imagine myself ever pawning any just buying from the pawn ahaha u

can be super useful as we have few shoulder items on site, and the PS is a great deal for CW hosiery too!

...there's not one time I go to the pawn that I don't want to buy something n_n damn itt

Those who regularly claim slots on CWs probably have a nice paying job so they can buy a lot of csc. 500csc is only 5$ apparently, and, I'm not an expert but I think a lot of slots are like 600csc? So if people dedicate part of their paycheck to getting csc they could very well get a lot of CWs. It's their choice to spend like that, but I don't have that kind of money to be buying virtual items that might not even exist in 20 years. I'd just rather save up for something more meaningful in real life :P all the csc/cash shop items I've bought I've done it by saving up virtual money--sp. I'm just thankful theres a workaround and it isn't like Neopets where you absolutely have to buy it with real money and you can't trade it away. Anyway that was a long ramble about nothing, but thank you about the cupcake :3

I have spent real money on this site, and while the argument you make is one I agree with wholeheartedly (this is a virtual site: I am spending money on nothing), I weighed it up against the hours of enjoyment I have had here onsite, and the fact that after six years I have no intention of quitting. I've managed to keep it to a handful of times, though; spending money online is so easy because all you see is numbers on a screen, forgetting the very real values you are losing. I came here from Neopets and find I absolutely prefer Subeta. I feel like one can actually accomplish something on this site. No matter if you have 1mill or 10mill or 100mill there is a ton of stuff to own and to use and to do, so that, while you always have something to strive for, you can also enjoy yourself in the now. Neopets felt so slow in comparison (though it is years now since I was there). Looks like I rambled right back at you. ^^

All the pretty hosiery! And the chestnut waves are gorgeous! Woah. The PS is a real csc trap. Once you go in, you won't come out again ... unless you've bought something. I have a thing for shoulder items. They are few, but among them are a lot of really cool ones. are some of my favourites.

Yeah, as soon as I clicked the PS I found a hosiery I had wishlisted and hnngh I just had to pretend I didn't see it, haha x-x These days I've been trying to control my addiction buying impulses so I have been shopping a lot less...

Subeta kinda has this hoarding idea, I'm always feeling like I should own all the things but it's actually horrible, I don't need all the things o.O

(random bit about expenses, I guess some people just spend on Subeta as their entertainment choice, like when someone goes out to have dinner, drinks or a movie theater xD Most expenses of this type just "go poof" anyway so... I guess as long as the person has the money, all the power to them, heh. I'm a bit against using credit for entertainment or anything that's not absolutely needed, but to each their own...)

When I saw THAT in the token shop I cried tears of joy.... seriously huge tears.... I've only ever seen ONE for sale and it went FAST! Seeing that in the pawn shop I /had/ to get it. And I'm so glad I was able to.

There is a in there for only 500 csc. That is such a pretty cw! I am tempted to snag it myself!
