Perhaps this is more of a question than feedback, but weren't they supposed to be distributed in a way that maintained their price around 500k sP in usershops?
Has this changed?
It seems that either the price has dipped way below 500k or that something such as limited edition sets has shot the price way above the 500k mark. Altering the rate of getting a subeautique invitation random event would work (and would allow for other random events which could use some love to fill its place). Or, making the invitation a readable would also be nice.
I don't pay attention to the price I have seen an influx of invites being given out. I don't know if it was recently increased, or if I've just been playing that much more.
Thought a 350k price tag does seem to be on the lower end.. I wouldn't be surprised if they lowed the number being given out soon.
I personally have been getting Invites more often lately. I've gotten nine since the event started, I guess because of all my page refreshes. (I gave Oatmeal a whole lot of attention.) I'm sure the price will increase sooner or later, though.
It is really hard to judge price inflation/deflation during events or new releases, in my opinion. More people finding them means more people wanting to sell them ASAP and underpricing them.
It's a bit of a cycle with subq invites. I've seen it hover around where it's at right now for a fair amount of time then a bunch of new sets will come out and invites will shoot back up. Sometimes I question myself on using the invites versus hoarding a bunch waiting for the demand spikes.
I tend to hold onto my invites for selling. If the price is super low, I keep them until it goes up a bit. If they're inflated, I give a discount that's always around 500k and usually less.
There's a whole mess of new sets, but I never see them either because they rarely stock or they're all bought out by the time I get there, and I go there a lot-every mallarchy pond alert time. I'm sitting on nearly forty of the things because there's just nothing there to buy with them. I totally have the sP. I know during last winter I ran out while the fairies were flying. If I still have any left after next Luminaire, I guarantee I'll be market-dumping them all however they may be, for whatever the market will bear no matter how low.
Artists can only draw so fast. If you feel there should be an official interest in them keeping value, there needs to be a use for them, or there needs to be a way to pay new/more artistry. Lower SBQ item rarity, instead.
There's absolutely no need to make Tique any easier to obtain than it already is. As it is, 90% of Tique items hold value for maybe a month or two before sitting in purgatory at 6-700k until retirement.
I do have more than 50 invites right now, so I do think something needs to be done. Weren't they supposed to be watching and tweaking the rarity of the RE if prices got too low? I know the event probably created an influx, so it might be time to make it rarer until prices come up again.
Although yes, +1 to making them readable.
