So I recently learned how to play Subeta Tiles and I'm finally getting the hang of it. However, I haven't beat it where all pillars are filled so I'm wondering if my strategy is "right".
Basically, I always start on the left and once I run out of tiles to pile on that pillar I move onto the middle pillar. If other tiles pop up that fit onto the first pillar I do that until it fills the pillar. And if there aren't any moves on the first two pillars I start on the third. I don't use my random pillar until I can no longer do anything on all 3 pillars. Sometimes I can get away with placing the random tile and not put another tile on top of it until I fill up one of the other pillars.
Unfortunately, I have only completed the game down to 1 last pillar and it didn't fit.
Should my strategy be different? Should I be doing all pillars at once in a semi-equally placement or continue to feed one pillar when possible until it is full?
I fill all 3 pillars, maybe 3 out 4 games. I do it almost exactly the way you do. One thing that's easy to overlook though - in addition to matching the colours you can also match the picture. I used to forget that a lot when I first started to play.
The only difference I can see with our strategy is that I stick with the same pillar. What I mean, is that say I've abandoned pillar 1 and am working on 2, I get a tile that can fit either 1 or 2, I stick with 2 at that point rather than going back to 1. I only go back to 1 once 2 is blocked or finished.

yeah, I need to get better with using the faces too. I start paying more attention to the faces once things start getting hairy XD
I'll try sticking to the same pillar, maybe that will help :) Thanks for the help!
- I try to keep the pillars relatively balanced. The key is to try to use different colors on each, so you don't get stuck -- if they all have the same two colors, then it really limits your available moves, and you're more likely to fail.
This is basically how the bonus round works, so it's good to practice in the main game.

ahhhhh I FINALLY beat it today woot woot! Now I'm a little confused or I guess I overlooked this tiny detail... How do you get to the bonus round?
- Go to the Mysterious Stone Tile Tray after you've collected one of every tile, and click the gold tile at the bottom. The bonus round is basically an infinite version of the regular game, and you win a wooden tile based on how many points you score (more points = rarer tile).

oh gotcha. I still haven't collected all of the tiles so that makes sense. Thanks for the info :D
Normal mode: I put one tile in every pillar. One in the left, one in the middle, one in the right. If not possible I will try to keep it "even" somehow. Seems to work well most of the time! I only use the wildcard in my final move. Or if it is impossible to continue otherwise. If I don't get a perfect game (all four tiles cleared) I reset.
Bonus mode: I take TONS of time per turn. You MUST make it even somehow. Also I save wildcards for when I really need them
Also do not use the "trade tiles" function. Just let your tiles stockpile. It's much better.
I do my very best to keep the pillars even. Sometimes I have to make an extra move on one pillar because of my tiles, but I try never to have a pillar more than one move ahead of the rest. Otherwise I forget to check the tile count which always results in wasting my tiles, somehow.
Personally, I found out the best strategy would be the one already mentioned:
I usually finish most of my games with all three pillars filled up like this.
I use all three piles equally and I try to put a different color combo on each pile that way I have multiple choices when a new color pops up.

I fill the first pillar and continue on this one until I run out of tiles that fit and sometimes I can get it filled, and then I move onto the next two, still trying to keep most of the tiles onto the second pillar, and only putting tiles on the third if I need to. I keep the wild tile until the end in case I need it.
