Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by my little corner.
I would really like to be able to offer my art on here for SOME kind of profit. I've seen lots of art offered on here and the ranging qualities and forms it takes and I feel I should be able to have a little shop of my own :/
I know that everyone on here uses digital programs and that's where I hit a serious wall. I dont have a program on my computer to draw on and I also don't have a scanner.
So does that make it impossible for me to offer up my talents on here? Below you can find a bunch of links to my art.

Hello! :)
Overall, it is easier to sell digital works over traditional works (especially without a scanner) on a site like this. They just turn out so much cleaner.
There are some free and reasonably priced softwares that you can use, such as GIMP (free) And Paint Tool SAI which a lot of artists on here use and it only costs around $50 (you can download a free trial).
However, if you'd rather not pursue digital art, you can improve the photo quality of your works. I'd recommend taking photos in natural lighting and to take the photo so that it is directly facing the artwork (not at an angle, otherwise, the proportions will look skewed). A good camera also helps. After you upload your picture, I recommend using a photo editing software (like the aforementioned GIMP) to clean up edges and to adjust the levels.
There have been many times where a lot of my traditional works were just too big to scan, so I had to rely on using a digital camera in order to upload them. However, I tried very hard to ensure no loss of quality and I think I did fairly well using the techniques I described.
I'm here to help! Your garden picture is beautiful!

Hello!
Thank you for your help! Im glad you think my art work is at least decent >.> The garden took me 4 1/2 hours with oil pastels. I did it all in one sitting. I have downloaded GIMP before and in addition to not knowing what the hell I was doing I have a horrible time trying to draw on a computer D; I do have a touchscreen computer though so I thought maybe that would help me. I havent tried the other program and 50$ is doable as far as paying for a program goes and its probable easier than buying a camera which I dont even have :/
But you've given me some hope! It sounds like you think I could have something. Id like to think my art is okay >.<

I read your post and read Erica's post and your art does clean up well even without a scaner or it being digital. You just need 5-10 free minutes and Gimp. It increases sale value since the background is all of a sudden white and lineart definable. Or you can make the bg transparent. I took the liberty to clean one of them to show you. Don't worry. I will erase this from my computer after you see it. Start digital art only if you think you will enjoy it. :)
Wow! It does look nice!
To be honest I would prefer to be able to keep doing my traditional art and then just touching it up a bit to make it look more desirable. I must admit I have no idea how to use gimp q.q Maybe I need to watch a tutorial or something. My other question was how big the images are. Honestly I take the pictures with my phone >.> People like bigger images it seems or at least the option of varying sizes.
I feel like Im asking silly questions/saying silly things q.q

I am actually selling images of the same size that your images are. Since I as well am taking pictures of them. Only I smudge stuff a bit. And in Gimp you just need to tweak contrast and luminosity, then go and grab the manual select tool and cut off the borders by selecting the background and erasing it with the rubber. Then you can tweak the contrast and the colour balance and voila. You are done.
But if you want bigger images just find a phone or camera around the house that takes slightly bigger photos. And no question is a silly question.
Also that image I edited is big. Just drag it to a new tab.
