I know that a lot of you have noticed lately that the wardrobe randomly breaks or parts of it will randomly stop working. Unfortunately this isn't something that we can repair overnight. The technical explanation is that the wardrobe is using an old format to get your information (a XML based format) and most browsers have started dropping support for that format in favor of JSON (which the new wardrobe uses)!

So right now we're suggesting that everyone use the beta wardrobe if you are just changing your outfit. Right now it's still missing drawers and other organizational pieces, but hopefully it'll load faster (and actually load) for you.

I hope to be able to continue to update you on the progress of the new wardrobe as it goes, as well!

I just tried the beta wardrobe and i could not do anything there. I was searching or an item (the Noktoa poncho and boots) and it would not search. I could not rearrange the layers so I would have had to take everything off and then try to ind them again. Also are you guys going to put the "Recently added" option back? That is the option for me :(

EDIT: I'm trying to go to my inventory and every time I try to do something from the beta wardrobe it says http://keith.dev.subeta.net/inventory.php in my address bar.. Is there a way to undo that instead of having to open a new browser/tab

Whew. At least I could finish getting dressed. I am really excited about a lot of features of the new wardrobe. Can't wait till it's officially replaced the old one!

I can't wait to see the new wardrobe! I would love to see "recently added" as well. I use it all the time. I'm loving the color searching.

the beta wardrobe is lovely, even if not everyting work quite well.

Nine out of ten times when I load the beta wardrobe, the layering of my items loads incorrectly - items load on top of items they're supposed to be underneath, etc. So this is still really inconvenient for me, but I guess this is just me?

Well darn, just wanted to go to my wardrobe to remove an item to grant a wish. So much for that.

I seldom get Beta Wardrobe to Find anything. This is especially annoying when I only remember part of an item's name, or when I know it Found the same thing last week. I really does take longer to search through item by item in the New wardrobe than it does to keep on trying to get the Old one to work.

it's not just you. Sometimes reloading the outfit helps, sometimes leaving new wardrobe and coming back helps. I think that the wrong-layering is preserved as wrong if you save it into an outfit, but if you already had the outfit composed correctly this wrong-layering doesn't show as your HA when you leave the Wardrobe.

Not to jynx myself horribly or anything, but I'm not having any problems at all with the old wardrobe - well, except the inevitable event lag.

I appreciate the technical explanation, but this doesn't really acknowledge the salon issue specifically. It sounds like you've essentially dropped support for the old wardrobe so the salon won't be fixed there, but it's not part of the new wardrobe yet and there's no timeline for when it will be added? I'm not sure that's the news we were looking for. :(

- Try changing the layering of an item and then putting it back where it was. That first change usually forces everything to move to where it's supposed to be.

I would also like to know what the status on the salon is. :)

if i save in the new wardrobe while wearing salon hair, will my salon hair stay or be removed? It doesn't show up in the preview. (and I'm afraid to try!)

The beta wardrobe is so hard to work in right now. I understand it's still in the super-early stages. It's just that I am missing a lot of my wearables and I really hope we're still going to have the 'recently added' option to see what items we've recently added (very helpful during events).

I'm not having any issues with the old wardrobe for now.

The new wardrobe doesn't seem to like me so much, I was searching for things the other day and half the things I put in that I know are in my wardrobe it wouldn't pull up. I was going to use it to help with my avatar for my band at the time, since it can match colours, but it wouldn't work properly, so I just went back to the old wardrobe.
