They were closed by at least 11:50 reading some comments from the news post reminder. Any way to fix this? Some people were doing finishing touches, but my save is a big change, and without it my band name would not make sense with my pre-saved image at all.

My band had the same problem, we tried to save the image at 11:40-50 and it would say "Battle of the Bands submissions are closed!", so now our band preview is... an empty stage.

An empty stage? I'm so sorry Cutting submissions 10-20 mins early is a big deal. I know a lot of people do last minute things. Oh yes, and also the fact that they said 11:59 exactly, not "the end of the 20th." I'm not surprised, and even less surprised if they don't do anything about it.

yeah :( I hope they do something about it, I mean, at least 3 people had this same problem and reported it at the news comments before the closing time. Subeta has extended cash shop sales because of constant downtimes before, it wouldn't be the first time.

Well that's different...this isn't cash shop related.

I am really really really frustrated with this. We were trying to save our band image 10 minutes before the set deadline and it wouldn't let us, telling us "Battle of the Bands submissions are closed!" Both of us tried to save it with no luck. Personally I tried probably 20 times in those last 10 minutes with absolutely no luck. This really isn't fair because now we have no band image and that pretty much completely disqualifies us from anything else band-related, because goodness knows the judges aren't going to pick an empty stage to be a finalist. I really wish they would fix this somehow because it just isn't fair. It wasn't the "last minute" or "lag of the subeta clock." We were very clearly 10 minutes before the deadline.

UGH! Had the same problem.... in fact one of our band members was completely missing from the preview page. And we are a quartet :( Yah they really need to fix this! IF they don't it will be very unfair for a lot of us...

it happened to me too. couldn't save at least 10 minutes before the midnight deadline. I have no idea why it closed early it just stated on the news feed at 10:35 last night "submissions in in just over an hour and 30 minutes time!" but that was not the case for me and the band i'm in :'(

So... I guess this problem will just be forgotten and nothing will be done about it?

This has been reported and will be looked into. I am not sure what will happen but things are not being ignored.

Considering finalists are now currently being chosen up until tomorrow, which is the start of the second phase of the competition, this would need immediate attention.

I cannot fix anything myself. All I can do is report it. As soon as I hear something I will let everyone know.
