I'm not sure where to post this but here goes. I'm as eager for achievements as the next person, and being able to grant wishes on the wishing shrub would be awesome, but I propose this... for the time being the wishes on the shrub are, shall we say, for the most part and for the common man, unobtainable... I'm sure I'm not the only one here to say that at 22mil minimum a pop or a mass of 50000csc gift cards, I'd likely to go broke or spend an entire month's rent granting even 7 wishes (one a day for the duration of the event) And until the wishes (and if) are more reasonable... I plan to instead go on a random wish list item giving spree to strangers around the site.

Its a means to grant wishes without dealing with the greed. I think it would be fun to build up an army of wish granters who grant one stranger a wishlist item a day until the event is over.
