I guess I'm just too stupid to understand this process.

I've got a few friends interested in being in my band. My band is set to Private. I tried to add them just by putting in their username alone and it didn't add them. I tried doing the user= thing and it added ONE of them but not the other two. Do they need to come add themselves or something? What am I doing wrong and why isn't this process explained somewhere?? ugh I have found nothing to explain how to add members to your band anywhere over several forums.

I'm not exactly sure, but i think if you enter their usernames, it ends up sending them an invitation? Perhaps they just haven't accepted it yet.

Thank you! I wondered if that was the case. Maybe my one had popped on for a minute and accepted as I was trying to figure out how to get the others in then. lol I'll give it a day or so and see if that's it. :) Thanks for not shaking your head at me and wondering what kind of idiot I must be. lol

I assumed it's an invitation thing because of the 'join a band' page, which has an invitation section under it! Perhaps you can ask your friends to check that page? My band never made a submission yet, so it's merely an assumption ❤

If you refresh your screen and the name you typed in is visible but grayed out, it just means they haven't accepted yet. However if you refresh and the name disappears, that means that it has been typed incorrectly. I've noticed that if there are any extra spaces (at the end for example) it won't save the name.

Yes, two have managed to join. I've got one who said she tried and it didn't let her so not sure what's up with that, but otherwise at least have the answer to my initial question figured out. lol Thanks bunches for helping me know I'm not crazy. ;)
