When battling, after you finish there's an option to fight the opponent again, but you then have to choose the pet again and if the weapons aren't default you have to re-equip them. It would be nice if there was a second option that would automatically have everything ready to go right back into battle again.

Well, putting the weapons into your armory and setting them to default does just that ;)

It does for the weapons, and maybe I'm just lazy about it but I then have to switch out again after. Though it would be nice to be able to choose a default set for each pet. At the very least, just being able to choose "Battle again with same pet" would be great because I can't tell you how often I've forgotten to click to choose the pet again.
