what do you guys think?
I really love the hair chalk, I think it has a lot of great potential once redeemed. I don't think I can work with it as of right now.
Cutie Pixel by Cute set on both end, but seriously not my thing.
The accessories are nice, but I'm really into the eye items. I actually like the male one more, and I could see myself using it more if I ever got it. The romper and canned tank could also be really nice to layer with
oh wow, I see what you mean. I don't think it was too far off to assume they'd be separate colors, so I'm sorry it ended up being like that. do you think you could get any use from it?:/
I'm with on this one. You can colour the 's sidecut can be coloured using the streaks...
According to the artist, , this is because it would have resulted in a "loss in shading quality." Which I don't... really get. This question is directly exactly at you, : How does that work, exactly? I mean, all it would require is making it into a "streak-able" section, right? If Subeta streaks works anything like Source engine paintability, all you need to do is paint the hair in shades of white, grey and black and then make a white section in the Alpha layer in order for it to be "coloured".
Streaks don't seem to need any particular shading qualities on them. Hell, if I took the whole wig and monochromed it in Photoshop, then it looks fine, still..?

So unless the subeta hair streaks are coded very differently, then I'm not sure I understand why it's impossible for the side to be independently coloured.
And as mentioned, it doesn't even match it's non-redeemed preview at present. So if you could clarify some stuff, that'd be fantastic, thanks!

What I said was that this option didn't work well on this particular wig. That's great that it works on the other one! I don't know anything about source engine paintability/etc and really can't comment on that. I mean heck, I've only done one redeemable wig before so I am by no means an expert. What I do know is that when I tested it the end result simply didn't work well, and rather than frustrate people with an option that should work but instead looked like crap, it got cut. (And trust me, I was pretty disappointed about that too!) There is more to making a wig redeemable than simply turning it to greyscale though.
And yes, those streaks actually do match up! They don't include all the streaking in the hair, but all are streaks in the non-redeemed version. :)
Well, if you wouldn't mind explaining to me (I'm a graphic designer here so this sort of stuff nags at my mind) how the streaks in Subeta work, I'd appreciate it.
Like, what do you, as an artist, need to do in order to make the wig "streakable"? Do you need to submit a monochrome version like what I posted or is there some fancy coding and whotnot that needs to go into it? If all it requires is a monochromed version then, hell, I did that in a few seconds.

I'm greatly disappointed by the lack of an option to change the sidecut coloring.

I love the pastel colors (wooo finally haha), but I'm not a fan of how .. bland most items look. I mean the art is lovely, but I expected something more exciting if it's in the boutique. :c
While I like the pastel colours and facial features, it just seems a little lackluster for something that is in the CS boutique. This is in comparison with other beautiful sets like delish that actually cost less to get the whole set.
It just seems a bit silly to charge an entire 125 csc for something as small as or the which really looked like they should have come as a set. I understand that previous cash shop sets also had really small items (see ) but these two sets have so many little accessories than actual clothes that it seems less worthwhile than other CS items.
Has anyone redeemed the hair chalk yet? I'd like to know what the streaking options look like on that on before i buy it. I love the wig, but there's a bit too much pink in it for my taste. (I'm more a 'purples and blues' kind of girl...)
I'm liking the colours. c: However, most of these are pretty simple-looking and it doesn't really fit the Boutique imho.
The boots are cute, but I don't think I'll be buying any of this.
I agree, actually. Some of the Cash Shop items as of lately haven't really been the standard we're used to. Some look nothing like their item image, and sit weirdly on the HA. Others have art styles that look very pre-2009.
I've wishlisted over half of these collections, though. Pastels are my new romance.
