Hey, Subetans! I'm holding an avatar contest for kicks. The theme is Hekate, the ancient Greek goddess of magic.

She was strongly associated with crossroads, torches, the moon, herbs and poisonous plants, necromancy, and the night. Common sacrifices to her were black lambs and black female dogs. She was said to have 'three forms', or be 'three-faced'.

Despite her associations with the Underworld and generally dark things, she was said to be a protecter goddess, who loved her worshippers and was especially protective of infants and young children.
