forum groups - how many???

I know we get five max forum groups to create, but was wondering if there's a way to increase the number of groups we can make. It could be like a GA perk.... without the GA, you get five. With the GA you get ten. Something special like that. There are so many groups that have come to mind I wanted to make and didn't find anything like them when I searched groups, but couldn't make them because I'm maxed out. GGRRAAAARRGH!

I don't have that problem, I only have one group. So if you want I can create some for you.... And for those that problem is real I support this.
Somehow, I think 5 is a fair number? I can see some people abusing the feature anyway.
I really don't think we need to be able to make more than 5 groups, I just don't see it being such a widespread issue that you'd need more than 5. If the limit was raised though, I would prefer it just get raised across the board rather than added as a GA perk.
But I still don't think anyone really needs that many groups under their name.
I can see where you all are coming from. Yah they can be abused easily, didn't think of that.

I don't mind having the limit upped - Does it really hurt anyone? Although thanks to this topic I went and deleted some of my un-needed groups that are ages old.

Personally, I think if you delete one, it shouldn't count towards your total but beyond that, I see no reason to increase it?
you mean if you delete a group, it still counts towards your 5???

If memory serves, yes.
that seems like a glitch :-/ At the very least, something that needs to be changed. It doesn't make sense at all. If you've deleted the group, why would it count? It doesn't exist anymore XD
I have a distinct memory of having deleted one of my groups because it was completely inactive and most of the members had left, then it gave me an error when I tried making a new one. :I

this seems like something you should post on P&B, it's more likely something that a programmer needs to fix rather than something an admin can fix :D
