So did anyone get the lucky chance to see any of these drops?
I've heard about the one in Japan, one landing in a tree and the cops breaking up a scuffle for one.
I like this promotion strategy better than your Mom hates Dead Space 2, and the other ridiculous EA ones.
I didn't pay much attention to the balloon launches. It was a simple publicity stunt for a game that doesn't really need publicity. The masses are already slavering for it. What I did find amusing were all the people wailing about the game being released with DLC already waiting. I mean, really?
Yeah, apparently San Fran have lost both of their copies XD
I don't pay too much heed to the whole thing, but if I stumbled across it, then that'd be good, I'm not going out of my way as I'm not too bothered about the game
True, but I do love the effort they spend on it, especially the commercials now. Little bit surprised Fox hasn't done another article on them about the children dying.
As for the DLC bit, people are angry because they always require you to purchase the DLC right away(unless you prordered/played another EA game) and they feel somewhat betrayed by them. Don't see why though, should see how much those online passes are starting to cost.
Wonder how many people took their boats out and started fishing? Just read an article, some group got one of the ones stuck in the tree in Cali, but the other was stuck in a 150 ft one and bioware/police made them stop trying to get it due to legal reasons.
Weather Balloons?
Weird XD I usually read Gamerelated Websites Daily, but that totally went beyond me for some reason xD So thats probably a bad Viral Strategy if it's only a local phenomenon, lol.
I can't say I like EA Policies much, regarding buying DLCs and registration of Game Copies. Then I can't remember the last time I played an EA Game... -goes to flip through all her games-
The only Viral Marketing I really can remember and I participated was the PotatoFoolsDay ARG when Portal 2 was released. So I am probably not much of help here XD
