So I was commissioned for an item and was first told that I had unoriginal artwork and I had to send my commissioner psds of the CW and CI. I got a message today saying that my art looked like it came from an avatar or anime site (I'm not really sure what that is...) but was still never told what to fix. "It is far from what we consider acceptable for Subeta custom overlays in several ways, including overall style, consistency, and quality" This is the wear with the avatar base This is the wear alone And this is the CI
Outer lines are at 2pixels and inner lines are 1 pixel. I have 3 layers of shading for both the CW and CI. Any help would be appreciated, I'm just really confused right now :(
Hello :) Could one of you please move this to the appropriate forum? I can't get into the custom wearables discussion forum though
I'd honestly ask people in the art forums and CW makers for help because the only thing I can tell is your art seems rough for the site and style they try to go for
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
Given that Subeta's guidelines for CWs and official art vary incredibly (which is unfair to CW artists and bullshit, should you ask me), I wouldn't take it too harshly. I would try refining the art a little though, it seems a bit fuzzy on my screen, and perhaps modify the cat a bit.

Thanks so much for the response ^^ I have indeed fixed my item :) and I totally agree about the art varying :/ I think that a single person should be assigned to checking each CW. Recently I've been working on one and the only thing that needed changing were the strings and now all of a sudden everything is wrong and I have a big list of corrections :/
So sorry for the late response btw...Had a problem getting into the CW discussions forum that it was moved to ^^"
It's okay. XD There was a problem with the section and the admins disabled the section until the problem could be resolved, which may be sometime today or next century.
Idek, sometimes things go through without a hitch then the same person will deny things and give a huge list on the next item. It's not consistent.

Makes it a bit difficult yes ^^ I'm a bit new so I get that I make mistakes but it's very difficult when things are fine and then I have to start over because they said it was looking okay at first then changed their mind :( Is it against the rules to put CW's you're working on in a thread asking for advise before you actually submit it to the team? I think something like that would help me out a lot xD
Not that I know of - I know people go seeking critiques about CW artwork on Tumblr quite a lot.
