I have a special character in one of my pet's names, and this causes it to display incorrectly. In the drop-down Personal menu, and in the Pets submenu, that pet's name doesn't even display, it's just blank. All of the other pets I have display just fine. In the pet overview screen, the special character in his name displayed as a black diamond with a white question mark. You can see the display in pet overview here. The character é was used in the name. Benéy is the name of the pet.

I'm wondering how I could go about fixing this. It might be a site bug, an issue with the font on my computer (though the character displays fine on my computer, so I'm ruling that out), or something else completely. Would a change to the name involving just that letter to something without a special character be possible? Or would I have to pay for a new name for the pet in that case?

I would make a ticket regarding this. I think that they would be able to tell you if they can fix it or if it would have to be a paid thing.
