I was just wondering if anyone still played the game. I am playing it again. I don't know how many times I've played it but I still love it.

Of course! :D Last summer I bought the version they released on Steam so I could finally kick back and play it on my laptop, and I hadn't touched it up until recently. I just want it to be known that the computer version gives everyone mouths and it is the most hilarious thing. Though I really love FFIX, FFVII was the first one I ever played - I was 5 when it came out and that's when I began playing - and oh gosh I'm gonna stop now because I could gush for a long time about how I love this game c':

Do you ever rename the characters? My friend recently did a play-through where she renamed everyone Sephiroth, which was just as good as it sounds~

Haven't played it in years, though I'll eventually get it from the PSN (don't want to damage the original CDs) because I've actually never defeated Ruby and Emerald.

Ahaha I did the exact same thing! I had to stop playing because of how weird the graphics looked on a decent processor. It's amazing how well the backgrounds hold up from console to console, though -- they're truly fantastic. Some really underrated art in this game.

And I hear you on loving this game! It was my first serious RPG, coming from Pokemon and Link's Awakening, so I have some incredible memories of playing it. I must have amassed well over 500 hours of play across all my saves for it. The plot and characters are so complex, too. I remember talking about Jenova and how Jenova manipulated the players for like, hours and hours with my brothers after the fact.

I've never defeated Ruby and Emerald, either -- I think I got Ruby once, but Emerald's time limit, man. That was rough. :C

I have it on Steam but I haven't had to time to install it or play it. :( FFVIII was the first FF game I played and I really liked it, and I've heard a lot of rave about FFVII. So I'm excited to give that one a try! :)

I love that game and have it kicking around here some place. I haven't played it in awhile but I have played the hell out of it in the past.

If you peeps couldn't tell from my UN, FF7 is one of my favourite games ever =3 It came out when I was only 3, so I would watch my dad play - he would have me read the dialogue out loud for practice!

Even after all this time I still love it to death, and have amassed a collection of FF7 stuff, like almost all of the PlayArts 8" figures (it's a slow process guys, I wasn't aware of them when they first came out), plush from anime cons...I am seriously a dork.

This is one of those games I will always play since it was my first introduction to the Final Fantasy Franchise.

- FF Tactics and FFVII were the first Final Fantasy games I ever played, back on the original PS. It's actually where I fell in love with the franchise. I've got Emulators on my PC, and I play it often. Although... it's hard looking at the graphics, even though they were epic for their time. =3
