That was a catchy title no?

I was introduced by a friend (I call her floofy, no judging, kay?)I met over fan fiction. She needed a beta and I agreed, we became fast friends. I was betaing her fic one day, when she mentioned subeta, I opened it up and just thought, "huh, cute." Then closed it.

Two months later I came across a piece of artwork that was apparently of a kumos, at least that was what Floofy told me. I was intrigued. It was a nicely designed character, and as an artist who was going into concept design, I was enamored. And here I am

So basically, I'm here for the character designs, and I hope the community is just as nice. Maybe I'll share a few drawings, maybe even a commission or two. Either way, nice to meet you guys! Here's a little about me:

I'm an artist, I read a lot(and sometimes write), and the most awesome thing about me is that I'm completely bilingual(Chinese) and my family thinks I'd make the most sarcastic comedian ever. I also have two cats(like, real cats) called Luna and Loki who don't get along very well, but they make life awesome. I also fan girl over a bunch of things, Teen Wolf, Harry Potter, Hannibal, Eragon, Marvel, Merlin, just to name a few. I also bake, and my favorite channles are discovery and BBC lifestyle.

Hey Mensura :D Nice to meet you! Indeed that title was catchy. I'm glad you were drawn in by the Kumos because I personally love that one. I'm aspiring to be a digital artist in future, and I love to befriend artists; it gives me more insight and experience to see the works of others.

Boy, we have a lot in common! I'm also bilingual(also Chinese) and I have a grumpy and arrogant(but adorable) kitty named Mewtu(I'm aware it's similar to the pokemon. I named her when I was 9). I LOVE a show with awesome CG and a good story, like those few you mentioned. The only thing that may be different is that I'm an obsessed fan of MMORPGs, especially those with fluid motion and fantastic graphics.

I ended up with a different pet entirely though, haha. I mean, they're still both canine, but foxes are pretty far from wolves. Well, I'm Taiwanese to be exact and i grew up in Taiwan, so that could be different. Hmm, I am a big gamer, but I'm not very social when I play games(performance anxiety in a sense), and I prefer beefed up console graphics, (mmorpgs just can't do that if they want to make sure all the gamers' computers can handle the strain) and story lines that don't get too influenced. (I don't like replaying so I like to make sure I get the most out of a single perfect playthrough) so I stick to that. It's actually gaming that made me decide on becoming an artist.

I've never met anyone who joined for the artwork. That's really interesting (especially to a girl who knows nothing about art herself...). The art is pretty refreshing as far as other pet sites go. You'll find tons of other artists here, particularly on the art-oriented subforums.

Sweet Lord. I am a total Potterhead. Do you have a favorite House? I also love Eragon, Teen Wolf, and many BBC shows as well.

And Marvel! Young Avengers has recently become my absolute favorite comic.

Haha, yes I'm weird like that, although I sketch animals, I never really thought about the designs, so... I kind of like all of them for different reasons, but I prefer Ravenclaw I suppose? Even though I'm kind of Slyth in a very Machiavelli way, and Puffs are nice in that they stick together except they got like no screen time so I wouldn't know. My hobbies are all over the place. :3

I grew up in a traditional Asian community, so I'm really conscious of courtesy in the sense of, "there is stuff you keep to yourself".

It's how my pen/art name came to be actually, Mensura is Latin for measure, it was 13 year-old me telling myself "you have to learn restraint and self-moderating."

I really try my best to keep my professional art apart from pure self-serving stuff, occasionally they overlap, and honestly? I've only just graduated high school so it's hard, but I don't like flashing people stuff they don't like, you know? Maybe I should start a twitter so people can follow me without seeing... evil things LOL.

Btw... how do you add that little quote under your username? the "is FIERCE" part? :o

I've done the colour IQ chart a couple of times, I think I'm weakest with coral/orange towards green hues? n_n

I just took a look at your deviantart, and WOW your art is amazing! I especially love this one (because Tony is just smexy :3) and this one (because the blend of colours fluidity is just amazing). What's even awesome-er is that you do some chibi as well >w< Keep doing art because I love it~! ❤️

I actually get a perfect score, but it's not like that actually makes me better at art or anything. It IS interesting to note how men are so much more prone to colour perception issues though. And did you know we actually recognize colour with a different brain after the age of 2? Which is when we recognize language and label colours with a name.
