With E3 going on, every major video game company is releasing information about video games that will either be in stores this year, or relatively soon. We've got confirmations on Dragon Age: Inquisition, Sims 4, Kingdom Hearts 3, Far Cry 4, Fable Legends, Mirror's Edge, and the like. That being said, as the second day of E3 has come to a close, which games are you looking forward to most this year?

I know EA announced a bunch of sports games, as they typically do each year, so not very many people were interested in that, but Nintendo and Ubisoft informed the masses that they've been working on a bunch of new games. Unsurprisingly, there is going to be another Assassin's Creed (I think this one is called Unity), and Nintendo is coming out with the reboot of Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby, but there have been plenty of other games announced.

I still have to go through and watch a lot of the coverage, but as for Nintendo announcements, I don't know what to think. They announced/talked about a lot of cool games, but I don't think I like their new figurines that they're trying to integrate. I mean, a few might be nice collectibles, but I really think that's something they might go overboard with. They mentioned that the figures would be released for MK8 and with the upcoming new playable characters, i'm worried they might make the characters unlock per figure instead of having a little DLC pack for them. That paintball game, Splatoon looks kind of cool and Yoshi's Wooly World looks really cute. The new Zelda game looks really nice and Hyrule Warriors looks good too. I was pumped for SSB, but the figurine announcement kind of killed my hype. It was nice to see the new MH4 trailer, even though we already knew it'd be coming to the US. I think Nintendo has a pretty good line up for the Holidays and early 2015.

I don't know. I don't have a PS4 or Xbox One, so I kind of ignore those exclusives, but i'll have to look more closely at the PC announced games.

I've been following E3 via giantbomb and neogaf mostly, I was pretty happy how sony's event went this year.

Lots of cool stuff i'm interested in.

Overall, it felt lackluster compared to last year's. You can hear it in the crowd's response. Also most of what was shown were cinematic teasers hinting little to the game's premise and gameplay. There were very few AAA games that impressed me unlike the indies, which are colorful and more innovative. Scalebound seems interesting and is produced by Platinum whom I've grown to respect. I might purchase an XO just for it.

Amiibo can be dropped. Its not going to have a dynamic impact on the gameplay and is a blatant cash-grab scheme. Brilliant idea for the customizable Mii Fighter, however, whether it be mistranslation or marketing fluff it doesn't live up to the "mimic your favorite character not in-game". Also it seems SSB might have an anime in mind, which doesn't surprise me since people have been clamoring for it.

Hyrule Warrior is nothing like Dynasty Warriors--it far surpasses it! At last, Zelda is out there fighting to protect her own hide. I hope this means in the next title she'll do the same.

Xenoblade Chronicles: X... The combat system is akin to the previous game but instead of using magic to attack its modern day weaponry. That might be jarring to some though, as mentioned by the developers, its not a direct sequel. I'll reserve judgement until all is revealed but hope it doesn't devolve into a mech wars game.

WAAAAAAAAAA! I am so excited for what Nintendo has in store this year. Splatoons is odd but kind of interesting at the same time. Hyrule Warriors looks amazing! I had to preorder it. You can be Link, Zelda, Impa, Midna, and who know who else. I cant decide who im excited for more. Impa or Midna...hmmmmm.

Maybe that is what is happening in the new Zelda title. It looks to be right before or after Skyward Sword if the trailer is any indication. And they already said that is not Link or Epona....Maybe this is before the Hero incarnate? I would like to know what happened to make Link fail in the timeline. I personally liked the graphics from Twilight Princess much better, but I guess the series is going more anime/cell shaded style and it looks like it will stay that way. It grew on me in Skyward Sword. But oh, Hyrule Warriors...hurry upppppp. ;--;

And Super Smash Bros, oh man. At first I thought Pacman and the Mii characters were stupid, but after disappointment went away i am interested in Pacman more. It would be nice if they released a new Fire Emblem character though...It seems Ike is here to stay (yay! We like Ike!) and Marth, apparently named the King of Smash (from the SSB Tourny. How did he get that nickname?) but I think they need a magic based character. I like the idea of Robin (your avatar from Awakening) I do like Chrom, but he is just like Marth. Blue hair, royalty, same sword, heck, he is even in the same bloodline as Marth! Marth is Chrom's great-great-great-great grandfather...(give or take some greats) and with all the sword fighters representing FE now, people are probably getting the idea that FE is made up of only sword fighters. Robin is a better choice I think. She can do magic AND swordplay.

I like the Amiibo idea...i like how you can have a special character and beef them up. Gives it kind of a roleplay feature. How it will work with Mario Kart, I have no clue...It would be kind of funny seeing Link drive a motorcycle.

Did you hear that they might make Link a female incarnation in the WiiU game? How is that going to work if he's iconically known to be male and isn't androgynous in appearance?

They said that is probably not even Link in that trailer. It could be Zelda or his child...or maybe you can customize Link like in Fire Emblem.

I thought it was that they were going to allow the players to be Zelda this time around? I'm hoping they don't make her this ultra girly character with hearts and stars and stuff. That's a little demeaning... I don't play those games all that much, but you get the point. :(

I do agree though! I don't own any current gen (Xbox One and PS4) consoles, so I won't be purchasing games on those. I still think my 360 is relevant... If anything really gets me going, I'm probably going to buy it on the PC. Steam's good for it, hopefully.

Gameplay, plot and story--if those aren't on par with my standards then the game is ignored. Framerate, graphics and content matter little to me.

Same here, for the most part. I enjoy plot/story and functionality over anything else. I don't care much about framerate (honestly, I barely even notice when they're dropped), and graphics I could care less about. There are times where I do get tired of seeing the same thing, however.

One of the series producers back-tracked and confirmed it is in fact Link in the trailer and he referred to him as a 'him', so there's that. :(

Yea, I was guessing that too. Course the design may change. I dont think we know how far along in the game they are.

I just wish Hyrule Warriors was coming out sooner than September. That is not much time to play before Super Smash comes out. :( I wonder how many more characters we are getting....Alot of people on the Miiverse are hoping Chrom will come. (i keep spelling his name Chrome..........)

You mean themes such as epidemics/pandemics, post-apocalyptic, warfare and so on? Then, yes, I agree but remember these are trends bound to fade albeit slowly. At least an even amount of new IPs and indies were announced.

Oh really? Why does he look more feminine? Although the Japanese like feminine-looking men. What was that term again?

I was hoping more for Robin because we have enough blue haired sword wielders. I think Lucina would be a bad choice because she looks a lot like Marth...would get confusing.:/ oh well. I am more than happy that Ike is in it. I didnt like his appearance in Radiant Dawn because he looked strange...but they really made him look great!

That I don't know. He said he doesn't like defining Link because people think of the character in their own terms in order to connect to the story and that making him more feminine 'might' have been something they were doing on purpose.

So, maybe they wanted both genders to kind of connect to the character better? I don't know. Maybe it'll have something to do with the story. It's anyone's guess right now.

Now that E3's over, did anyone add any games to their wishlists? I have 20-ish games to keep an eye on, assuming everything pans out okay (meaning the end results end up being as good as the promises, and that I buy a couple more systems).

The ones I'm 90% sure I'm going to get are:
