So I've had the trap in my inventory for quite a while now. I've even managed to capture three or four lizards. I can't seem to take an item from the lizards though. I've considered buying the spray too...but I've read on other threads that having both items keeps the lizards away completely. Has anyone taken an item from the lizards with just the trap? Or with the spray too? What have people found successful and how long did it take for it to happen?

I have both the spray and the trap and that works every time I get the lizard random event.
