Hello everyone,

I wasn't sure to post this here, since it -was- about writing, yet I haven't written anythign at all... Please let me explain:

I have this idea of a story to be written out. It's probably going to have a respective 'manga'/'grahpic novel', yet I am still unsure of certain things about this story.

I already have a raw plot thought out, yet I am lacking solid characters to make this working. Of course I already worked out their personalities, yet I don't have a face to go with any of them yet.

Now, I was questioning this:

  • Should I use humans, to make this true-story-based story more realistic OR

  • Should I use people with animalistic features (like kemonomimis, not 'furries'/'anthros'), to enhance their personalities?

My dillema lies in the following: the humans will make the story more realistic, and believable; YET the animal features will enhance the personality (a loyal, silly personality = dog; a solitary woman who can take care of herself = cat; a hard-working, stubborn guy = horse...)

My fear lies in the fact that regular humans will make the story uninteresting and boring, for it is daily life, nothing you encounter everyday, but it -can- happen to anyone. On the other hand, animalistic people might make it too fantasy-like, and the enhancement of personality might be over-exxagerated BECAUSE of the enhancement (aka: they are too shallow, and easily read...).

I was hoping to get some help from y'all!

Thank you in advance.

Yours sincerely, Anima
