2)The random selection is pointless with the refresh button. It would be nice to view them page by page instead of running into the same pets over and over again.
The search feature is a simple link; it should clearly highlighted on the front page of the centre.
The search feature caps the amount of pets you can view to 15 and yet again it is randomized so that you can pointlessly refresh again and again to view the same pets over and over. Expand the cap and let us view them in a random order that can be viewed page by page.
5)Remove colours and species listed that cannot be obtained through the adoption centre such as the Hydrus colour and Bumbus pets(This suggestion was from another thread)
6)Consider pooling all the experiment pets into one category in the Species list in order to reduce clutter
7)The ability to recommend/rate pets. This could be done in a variety of ways. Pets with great colours and awesome names should be highlighted, especially to new users looking for pets. While pets with a common colour and a truly bad name like MustyNutsack37 could be given a bad rating that would lead to its deletion; ultimately reducing clutter in the adoption centre.
I completely agree that the Hydrus and Bumbus options should be removed from the search.
New users cannot adopt, as far as I know.
That's true that there's a 2 week limit(I think), but older users can help them adopt pets that they want.
I personally believe that people that cannot adopt should not be able to access the adoption center at all.
Have a "Oops, sorry, your account is too young to adopt! You have x time before you can adopt!"
I am all for this, its crazy that the adoption center has yet to be upgraded.

[tot=Twisted_Pretzel]I like the idea of being able to see more than just the standard 12 / 15 pets though - some of them keep showing up on refreshes, which can get quite annoying ;)

I like these suggestions, but I suggest a minor tweak to how many viewable pets there are in the adoption center. Perhaps we could have the option of how many pets we want to see at one time?
(Sorry for forgetting to reply to all of you, I procrastinate too much)
Hmm I never considered the importance of dates and pet ids in selecting a pet. Perhaps the adoption centre could also list/filter these things to make it easier for adopters to find what they are looking for.
Being able to set how many you want to see is a great idea, especially considering loading times and such.
I can understand wanting to prevent new users from adopting out great pets but then they never log on ever again, but I think that its better to take a chance and hope they put them to good use.
Yeah this is another one of those "things we wanted people to work for but we're not so interested in that anymore" things that I'm totally down for changing.

It would be so great if they did just bundle all the experimental pets together and let you look at them page by page. I would love to see the species and color listings alphabetized as well. It currently seems to be random at the moment. Or does it have something to do with when the pet was created?

I'd like the center to be organized by date created, species, and color. A "Recently Pounded" page would be useful too. [edit] I also don't see the point of users who can't adopt being able to access the center. Just let them in when they'll be able to actually get pets.

This idea is awesome! I agree and support it... with one exception.
You see, I find that people's opinions on what's a great pet and what's not vary too much to "delete" pets on a basis that they get a bad rating. While I agree that "MustyNutsack37" may be a bad name, there are others that are just too borderline. Pets that you think are awful and figure no one can do anything with... may be someone else's ideal. There's a pet I'm currently stalking in the pound (too few pet slots to get him) that others could consider worthy of deletion. To those who may be waiting for their next loyalty box or saving up CSC for a GA or pet slot, I think speeding up the deletion of pets may not be such a great thing. Granted, I guess you could re-create the pet if you're that hell-bent on the name, but I dunno. Experiments or certain harder-to-get pets with god-awful names may still be of interest to those who adopt and change the name. shrug
It's just my two cents. I may not know what I'm talking about at all. xD
I guess that if this was implemented it would happen with the recode?
