So as you can tell from my avatar, I'm a bit obsessed with Dragon Age. Has anyone else played it here? And what are your thoughts on Dragon Age Inquisition?

I love Dragon Age and I am currently replaying it. Didn't care too much for Dragon Age 2 though but I think because Oghren is not in it. :) I can't wait for Dragon Age Inquisition and it looks good plus some familiar characters are coming back as well.

I have a really bad habit of almost always replaying it. I actually liked Dragon Age 2, but there were definitely a lot of problems with it. I'm really excited to see Morrigan again. <3

I really love your avatar! It gave me quite a chuckle, but in a good way of course. Morrigan's sassy and sarcastic remarks always make my Dragon Age Origins playthroughs worth everyone else's disapproval. ❤️

But hello, count me in on the DA enthusiasts, I'm currently hyped over Inquisition (especially Vivienne and Cass, like so many other people -- ). I've been meaning to re-replay Origins now that I've finally got my hands on the ultimate edition, but sadly haven't got the chance to do so yet. The hardest thing is to decide whether to revisit my wardens (I miss them quite dearly) or start a new origin, both options are horribly tempting.

DA2 was awfully fun to play as a mage (and the spells are so beautiful), but sadly the game itself was terribly short and rather disappointing location-wise - imo if you're going to have very limited locations, at least put some effort into it, now the whole thing was so bare and repeating itself more often than not.

I have to admit that all of my wardens and the one Hawke I've got so far have managed to gain lives of their own, far beyond the canon of the games orz. Do you people prefer to play with default or custom?

Yeah, my current HA is for LGBTQA+ month, but I'll probably go back to Morrigan after. Ha, I guess so! Sadly, it is still not a brothel like Zevran wanted. And I absolutely agree with you on DA2. Also, I prefer custom which means I spend over an hour on their appearances.

Figured out as much, I've been wondering if I should do something myself but I haven't exactly been the most active user on subeta for the past few months. And who knows, perhaps The Pearl has expanded its reach to various subetan locations by now as well~

I enjoy custom too, I'm a sucker for games with character creators, and now I've gotten to the habit of trying to get a hold of the characters a bit earlier than I even start the game (by drawing / writing them and generally focusing a bit on who they will be so I can try to get in character as soon as possible and make the playthroughs as different as I can). Though I have to admit that the older Hawke siblings are both really tempting to play without too much customization as well, Marian and Garrett seem like actually interesting characters. I usually get a bit of a knee-jerk reaction from the basic whitey hunks with gruffy faces since the trope is so unoriginal and is focused on catering to (white) male gamers, but for some reason Garrett escapes this particular 'ehh' reaction and actually looks and sounds pretty intriguing. :o

Have you romanced anyone / do you have any favorites when it comes to party members?

Dragon age! I'm super excited for inquisition to come out. I want the silly unicorn with sword in head mount and the game of thrones-ish chair the DLC has. Hope it has a good amount of cameos.

I know what you mean about the white scruffy faced males. Especially with the new AC game with four of them. I'm actually thinking of playing as Marian for a play through. Of course I've romanced people! I haven't romanced Morrigan or Leliana yet, but they're on my list. While I personally love Alistair, I actually like Zevran's romance more. In DA2, I've only completed the Anders Friend!mance and Merrill Friend!mance. I've started the Fenris Rival!mance. I love Anders, but I don't really prefer the romance over the others. You?

I laughed so much when I saw that darned creature. I want it so much. I surprisingly haven't watched the E3 content, but I've followed the information on tumblr. I should watch them today...

oh man oH mAN from what I've heard the new AC:Unity is full of bat guano (I'm really bitter about the "women are too hard to animate" comment, hah). And yeah how diverse, a whole cast of cookiecutter stubbly white men, originality at its best :-----D er. It's sad how it looks otherwise so promising.

I've been really curious about playing as Marian or Garrett, but the customs are still too tempting. ´A` Perhaps one day...

My initial plan with my first (fem)Tabris was to romance Leliana, but I accidentally ended up romancing Alistair instead with some Leliana on the side, oops. Alistair absolutely managed to melt my heart. (After this playthrough I ended up actually putting more thought into my customs, because my Tabris is supposed to be rather hostile towards human nobility, yet the Alistair romance ended up happening either way). I've also romanced Zevran with my male Cousland, the privileged lil woob who knows everything in theory but nothing about the real world. I actually don't know which romance I prefer more? I was severely disappointed I couldn't just smooch Zev at random locations to the embarrasment of my party members like I could Alistair, it was something I was looking forward to and perhaps that's why it felt like something was missing. I have to say I ended up spending half of my Tabris playthrough just snogging the prince, especially when Morrigan happened to be around. She was so delightfully disgusted by the whole ordeal. With my Cousland I also accidentally managed romancing Leliana without my knowledge! My only plans were to make her my warden's best friend, but apparently everyone in the camp thought otherwise which was interesting to say the least, because I didn't have the slightest idea about it until Wynne came to lecture my warden about playing with Leliana's heart. I still need to properly romance her and Morri, gosh.

For DA2, I've only played it through once with a friendly Andersmance (my ragtag team of renegade mages ahH), my next plans have been to romance Merrill or Bela, but I haven't had the time to do so yet. I have to admit that my initial curiosity about Dragon Age was awakened by seeing this beautiful glowy elf on my dashboard and I ended up wolfing down half of the wiki in a few days before I found a chance to play the games and read the books, hah. Yet I still haven't romanced Fenris, I need to work on this someday soon.
