in the sense that:

  1. There are checkboxes.
  2. You can move items (via checkboxes) to your inventory or shop.

For people who want to move items from one shop (or gallery) to another, it would be helpful because they wouldn't need to move everything to their inventory first. Also, the checkboxes will make it easier to move multiple items. (Boo, dropdown menus)

I think I saw this topic/idea before, but I couldn't find it, so if it still exists, please direct me to it! Thanks!

Shops, galleries, and the vault are all going to be revamped. (I'm not sure if the inventory is done or going to be revamped further.) I'd poke around past staff posts for details on the plans.

So many places to store items! We're working on a more coherent way to move items around the site from the back end (which will help us a lot in making things that are "locked").

Right now how the site works is we have a different 'bucket' for each location, so user_items_wardrobe, user_items_vaults, etc. All of these are separate and don't really communicate (except via code). The plan was always to get them all on one table (user_items) but that required a lot of metadata but would have made the site much smoother (specifically for moving items around) but probably ensured that we'd have to add more limits around everywhere.

It's still being worked on, but it would make moving items around SO much easer if it could be worked out.

Thanks Keith! I hope you guys can get it figured out. It would be really useful for everyone, I'm sure.

If each different place is a separate bucket, then how is the vault able to "communicate" with the inventory/shops (moving items from one to the other). I'm assuming there's something like user_items_inventory and user_items_shop/gallery/whatever, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just curious on how the system works in regards to the vault. I don't know much about website coding, so sorry for my ignorance in advance !

I hope then with the new system we'll be able to order categories?

That would be awesome, hopefully when the site hiccups are fixed they will have time to work this out.
