So, i love the idea of creating and coding your own layout, but some peoples dont even show anything from subeta on it! there avatar, pets, ect... I hate it. I was surfing the zapper forums and see people talking about the experiments their pets have been zapped to, so i headed over to their page..... only to not be able to see their pets. LAME! avatars and pets are the best part of subeta! Just venting :)

Sometimes people don't really want to show their pets, for whatever that reason may be. Also a possibility might be they could have them being shown in different ways, either text links or pet buttons. Or hidden cleverly in a hover or drop down style.

Ive noticed it on the pet profiles too, a nice layout, and artwork, then the actual pet img itself is gone,

Do you mean hiding their pets completely or simply redacting the image and putting a link instead? (aka me cuz i like links better)

I mean hiding them all together, some have no pic to be found anywhere. Im still rather new to subeta so im not sure what every pet/color is, so i go to look and no pics :(

I personally won't display my HA (or pet images) on my user profile because the art style wouldn't match the style of art I commission for it. I have the same reason for not displaying official Subeta pet art on my pet profiles. It wouldn't match the art I'm actually buying to put there.

And I don't like to include links to my pets (word or otherwise) on my user profile because none of my pets are complete. Most of them haven't been touched. Idk, I think of my pets as characters, not as pets that I'm taking care of, and I want to develop them before displaying them.

I'm not sure about others, but I personally don't include pet images on a lot of the pet profiles I code because I either find them intrusive with whatever I have in mind for the profile design and/or none of the actual pets here on Subeta match my character designs all that well (so I generally pick the closest one and leave it off the profile when I code it!)

But if you're trying to figure out what a pet looks like and it's not on the profile, I recommend using Subetalodge! n__n

As for user profiles, I'm a complete sucker for more minimalist profiles, so I tend to leave avatars, pets, etc. off when I code those and focus on the design of profile more than the content I can put on it.

Both of those make sense! for the unfinished pets and the unmatching art. Mine arent finished yet but im still proud to show them off :)

Exactly both of these is why I don't have my pets on my profile at all. I'm currently waiting for pet buttons that I commissioned, so I may eventually put those up, but none of my pets are even close to being finished so I'm like NO PEEKING :)

I guess I'm in the minority because I love the Subeta pet images. That's why I chose the species and colours I did. Of course, I've had to change a few of my pets due to revamps, so I guess I can see why someone might want to create a unique image for their pet that will never be revamped unless they decide to change it.

A work around if you want to see users pets = http://subeta.net/games/battle/stats.php?user=USERNAME HERE This way you can get the name and if you're wanting, search the name.
