Not no money, per se, but I am far from hobnobbing among the high rollers, if you know what I mean. I'm out for advice about how to best invest my scant resources, since my t12 pet has a limited number of moves that can beat a limited number of Impossible challengers, now, and that just won't do.
Currently Using
Weapons
[Item=Malignant Rift Staff]
(also have two full blocks, Rainbow Vortex & Shinwas Temple Shard, plus a Truth Serum)
Scrolls
Holy Deluge, Psycho Smasher x1, Shriek of Despair x1, Cobalt Eternal x2, Sanctura Exodin x1
If you have wisdom to share regarding weapons that work especially well against certain Impossible opponents, ways to beef up my set in general, or if I should concentrate more on stats than weapons, currently, I'd appreciate a ping.
Water blockers like Manifesting Weapon and fire blockers like Possessed Bow/Natasha/K-Wand are good against Prodigy. Dark blockers and wind blockers work too but they might not work as well, especially for smaller T12 pets.
For most of the Impossible challengers it's better if you focus on blocking some of their main icons so there isn't really a general set that would work for all (unless your pet has lots of stats and/or you have a lot of scrolls).
I might be stating the obvious but hope it helped anyway. xD
- I truly appreciate your taking the time to advise, though I am left in the same circumstances of needing bigger ticket weapons than I have the tickets to accommodate. :) I suppose I was overly optimistic when posting.
Yeah the better weapons are pretty expensive. Dx You could try borrowing some weapons @ http://subeta.net/forums.php/read/7063/Weapons-Borrowing-and-Lending
- I haven't had luck putting up sufficient collateral there in the past, but it never hurts to keep on trying, so thanks for reminding me of that option.
Unfortunately you already have the only two weapons in tier 11/12 that are both good and cheap. If you want to upgrade your set, my recommendation would be to sell the Thunderball, which would then get you most of the way to buying a Manifesting Weapon or Possessed Bow. The Thunderball is a fun bomb, but unlike those two it's definitely not a make-or-break weapon. I would focus on beating Prodigy and go from there, since the extra EXP from BQs will be a huge help.
- no kidding! I'm always dismayed to have to give up on Prodigy when Reischen throws him at me.
Selling the Thunderball makes me a bit melancholy, since I basically sank 300 million into obtaining it (what can I say, I like to do well in Reading Drives), but I can certainly appreciate the practicality of your advice. I'll think about this.
Thanks! :D
