Alright, I haven't made a forum in a really long time so I'm a little nervous about it but I hope it goes well.

I really enjoy Batman, Batman everything is almost just my lifestyle. I'll read comics, watch the movies, buy little nick nacks, all of the sort. (My favorite is Batman the Animated series to be honest, but I really enjoy everything.) I've watched the Noland series, and thought it was pretty good in my opinion, and as soon as I heard Ben Affleck was playing Batman, I was pretty concerned because at first I didn't think it would go ANYWHERE but I am actually just now getting excited to just see a new Batman movie, maybe with a new perspective or something we haven't quite seen. I'm excited and wondering how everyone else feels about it so tell me your opinion!:D

I've been reading Batman for about 25 years and I am a little concerned about Affleck. I would like for him to do well and for the movie to be cool but this is a tough hurdle for it to overcome. I think the worst Batman portrayals have been the smug/cocky ones (i.e. Val Kilmer and George Clooney). I have a feeling that Affleck will act similar to those, much like he does in his own movies (Daredevil, Mallrats, etc). Michael Keaton did disturbed Batman well and Christian Bale did brooding well. To me that is the essence of the character, and I wish people would stop trying to do another Adam West campy portrayal.

Thank you so much for responding to this, I hope the movie will be okay, but I think you're right and so this might just be another Batman movie to watch and probably not watch again. We'll just have to see I guess^^ Do you by chance know when it is going to come out? I could just look it up but I'm just curious.

I've heard that it is supposed to release May 6, 2016 but I think they have already started filming.

Woah 2016? They must be trying pretty hard, well actually I have no idea how long it takes to make movies so I should just be quiet. It could be a nice gift for 2016 though. Thank you so much!

Yeah I agree. I think Avengers 2 and Star Wars 7 are both coming out in 2015 so maybe they want to miss all of that? Who knows ...

I was pretty upset when I first heard that Ben Affleck was playing Batman. I was totally convinced that he would ruin the character and had pretty much decided against seeing the movie. I've gotten over it by now though. haha

I just have to remember that everyone thought the same thing when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker, and he turned out to be one of the greatest performers of the character ever. (In my opinion.) So, I'm just going to give Affleck a chance. I don't have high hopes, but I am willing to give him a chance. Maybe he'll surprise us.

I've been a fan of the ol' bruce wayne for probably 20 years now. I loved the animated series as a kid, and now still. And totally collected batman trading cards and POGS, haha well, it was the 90s.

Micheal Keaton is KING BATMAN obvz. If Affleck's portrayal is anything like Clooneys/Kilmers I will be super satisfied. Affleck isn't the best actor for the perfect portrayal but I'm sure he'll act the same way he does in everything else he's in... And I'm not a fan of Bale's performances, although I did enjoy some of his other movies (American Psycho set the bar pretty high and I don't think I can lower it :P), and he was brutally out-perfomed by Ledger, hands-down.

Overall, BRING IT ON AFFLECK. It's time for a new approach, anyway.

Batman is my everything, but as much as I love it: It came to a stop. I never liked Ben Affleck and I will not pay to see him on screen. I am highly dissapointed by their choice of cast, so I'm a brooding baby staying with mister Bale.

But honestly, Ledger won me with The Joker .. so I wasn't the same lover anymore. I will however watch the upcoming series Gotham for sure.

I'm rather worried he's going to ruin the movie. Out of all the actors in the world they pick him. Why? I'm probably going to go see the movie but I may just wait for it to come out on tv rather than pay.

Batman is everything! points to profile I love the animated series. I have recently started rewatching it.

At first I was so reluctant about Ben Affleck being batman, but I am eager to see how it comes out. It's a new batman movie so of course, being batty for batman, I will go see it. I hope it comes out well.
