However now that the Tempest has emerged I feel it's my duty to fight. In the past I have been reluctant to send my pet into battle, as I hate to see him get belted. I saw this board and decided, tentatively, to ask for help. The one thing I'm struggling with is finding weapons. I have some in my vault, but since I don't know what I'm searching for, I'm reluctant to trawl through 60 or so pages looking for them. Are they findable by ID number or type? Anyway.....I would appreciate some help from those more experienced in this, in fact I would be very grateful for it. I have sent poor Az in 10 times against Tempest and he has been whipped soundly without making a dent.

If they were in a shop you could search by type, but I don't think there is any way for you to easily find them in your Vault. One thing you might consider is looking for specific weapons based on what's the best at your Tier... It looks like Az is a Tier 3... Here is a link to a good source of info: it is off-site but it is the site I use for reference...

I figure, if you have a freezer, you could try to freeze and attack while using a Negating Pylonic to block all of Tempest attack, then hit the opponent as hard as you can on the next round since, if they are frozen, they won't be able to block or attack. You can also try using a Glaciating Potion on this second round to try to get another freeze but the potion is not guaranteed to freeze. As soon as Tempest has a round where it is not frozen it will take out your pets HP and you will lose the battle...

If you don't have a freezer, pick your hardest hitting weapon, maybe a Negating Pylonic for its full block and/or Dark ____ Potions from the Apothecary, and give the big boss your best shot. You won't get very much damage in probably, no matter what, but at least you will have contributed and that's something. And of course, after you heal at the Healer, you can go back and try again as many times are you like until Tempest is gone.
