I would REALLY Love to see support ribbons on Subeta. Including Breast Cancer,Autism, and Domestic violence support ribbons,each ribbon can be recolored to go with the designated aliment or incident/happenings etc.

Many people I have spoken too also support the idea.

Could be as simple as a small ribbon on the chest,in the hair,wrapped around the body,or as a bracelet.

I myself am a survivor of Domestic Violence and my sister is as well,only she still suffers from it on a normal basis,only just recently has she overcome it,for now. I think about it every day,all the terrible things that I have made it through that have made me stronger,and I ask if Subeta could please make an item or items to allow me to remember the fights and struggles I have been through, as well as anyone else who has made it through such hard times with aliments and more.

I also wish to see an item for mental illnesses as well. <3 Please support the awareness of these happenings!

I definitely think this is a great idea. It could even be a ribbon next to our usernames or something small like that. I love it. :)

I'm absolutely in support of the idea. I owned several ribbons irl but I lost all of them :( Having one here that I can't lose would be great.

:D It would be cool to have them by our names or something too,I would really like it if subeta had some sort of charity thing going too,I would definitely buy some ribbons if some proceeds went to support groups :3 But I think everyone should be able to get one.

this had been suggested before but was not doable here because all those rl items have copyrights attached to them.

I hate to be a downer cause this essentially a sweet idea, but this has been brought up before.

Awe darn,maybe any items at all for awareness of some sort :( Doesn't even have to be ribbons...Le sigh~

That's why items like the , and others are used like "ribbons" around the arms

I have been thinking about different symbolisms that could be used (like the borage flower used instead of a pink ribbon) but I think if we had to use a different symbol for everything it would make the thing more or less pointless. I remembered there was a thing on tumblr called the "the lock project". People drew different coloured locks on their arms to raise awareness and I thought maybe we could have something like coloured lock badges/brooches? There is no organisation behind it, so copyright would not be an issue I think.

What about treating them like the live strong bracelets? There are so many off brands of that with company names, quotes, etc on it. Ive found some that have band names even, so what if they did bracelets of those colours? They dont even need to have a symbol on them. Just a plain colour. Then its hard to say its breaking copywright. Especially if its more like the birthstone crowns and jewelry. A silver chain with one bead or jewel on it.

But considering how many "Awareness" groups are out there we'd be swimming in them.

A nice idea - but I don't think we need new RL things on the site. Since we're trying to stay away from that.

Just a suggestion, maybe if you really wanted, you could get someone to draw an awareness ribbon for you (Shouldn't be too hard) and use the subeta tattoo parlour to get it on your HA? I don't think that falls under copyright? I hope :)
