To be honest, I'm not sure if this is the right topic though. But I'll just try it. x'D

I want a tattoo for 5 or 6 years now and today I decided I will get myself one. Or maybe more than one, but I'll stick with one for now. :> I thought about my right upper arm, something like.. around it, like this one. I would like to have the words "Rather than having a future that lasts for eternity, in this one moment I want to live" on it, but I'm totally unsure about the design. I like tribal pretty much and totally fell in love with the tattoo of an associate today (sadly I didn't take a picture.. it kinda looked like a mix between this and this). Though it shouldn't look too extreme and flashy, since it's my first tattoo and I don't even know how something like that would look at me. So, for the beginning, only a small upper arm one.

Do you have any ideas for the design?

I dont see why your first tatt, can't be extreme and flashy. I mean, you only get your FIRST tattoo ONCE.As far as tribal, I'd call around to your local tattoo shops, or hell even pop in, (so you can see the place and look around) and ask about doing tribal. From what I understand, not many artists like doing tribal, because its so common. Everybody and their mother wants a tribal piece and it gets old after so long.

Also, popping in, rather than calling, will give you a chance to be able to look around. Is the place clean? Is it trashy?
