Have to play with the Blob Kitty Magnet - sadly it doesn't work. Pet tell me that it was boring and the item is still in my inventory.

EDIT: Noticed that playing didn't work at all. The item is still in my inventory, no matter which I use.

It's because your pet is at maximum happiness. Take away their minion, and in a little bit, their happiness will start to drop and you can play with them again (even if they're in the resort).
