Anyone think there will be a new UN and pet name clearing soon?

Inactive accounts don't get purged anymore. They become labeled as inactive after one year of the owner not logging on, and then the username and pet names are able to be taken by other users. The account itself stays on the site though, so the user doesn't have to completely start over from scratch.

What about old forums?

I think that might free up more "crap" from the site to maybe help the lag.

That all just stays onsite. said the above-mentioned things don't actually take up much server space or slow the site down.

The big culprits are frequent refreshing (auto-refreshers are technically allowed), huge wishlists (the ones that aren't broken into categories), and the biggest shops and galleries.

Ok I didn't see when he said that I guess.

Wonder how "big" the WL categories can be. I also wonder if creating more categories in the shops and galleries would help...

I still think dumping old forums would still clear up just a bunch of old useless crap even if it doesn't free up space.

I think people like to search through for past info, but the topics that are so old that they come up as blank links are definitely useless.

Not sure about categories in shops and galleries since the amount of pagination would be the same (so I would think not?), but the wishlists with the tiny scroll-bars that take forever to scroll through and generally lag and crash the site are all ridiculously large even for a user's own personal reasons. I would also think it would be fine in length until the scroll-bar gets to its smallest form, but again I can't be sure.

That makes sense but I'm thinking that if there are things that are relevent, it could be pinned or archived specially. Yes I was looking through some and there wasn't anything there which sucks.

Pagination??

It sounds like you solved it as you said that, if there wasn't so much on one page to weigh down the bars then it would help right?

Yep, that's exactly what wishlist categories function to do.

posted a bunch about new inventory/vault stuff and shop/gallery limits if you want to read up.

Yeah so what I mean is why wouldn't that help?

Do you have a link to where he talks about that?

Categories work differently with wishlists and shops/galleries. Shops/galleries get paginated regardless of categorization.

Go to his profile and click on Recent Posts. I think it was in the Cash Shop Coupons topic in Site Feedback. If not, the Lag topic there.
