- Sleep is my favorite metal band atm, also things like Rammstein. It's good. I like stoner metal like Om and Mammatus.

Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Motörhead are the most favorite. And Yes, I will go to the concert of Judas Priest this July ._. Still can't believe. Also I love Manowar and russian band Aria. They're too good enough c:

Their first two albums are so awesome.

I love basically any kind of metal, especially melodic death metal (In Flames, Amon Amarth, Dark Tranquillity, Hypocrisy) and Folk Metal (Moonsorrow is one of my all time faves). Dimmu Borgir is also good, and Immortal...Bathory...

Depending on my mode I'll drift into metalcore as well, Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, Unearth, Texas in July, The Ghost Inside.

Then the third one was shit, and from then on it started getting better again. Metal isn't a genre that I really explore with, I've just been listening to the same bands for 6+ years: Nightrage, Equilibrium, At the Gates...

Ah I love Equilibrium's Sagas album is wonderful, and At the Gates is just essential to me. They influenced all of my favorite bands. I haven't heard any of Nightrage's albums after Descent Into Chaos, I should check them out.

I am into progressive metalcore, thrash metal, and occasionally death metal.

I really like Iron Maiden and Dragonforce. I also went through a bit of a Megadeth thing in my mid-late teens.

I personally enjoy Disturbed, In Flames, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Eluveitie, In This Moment... This list could go on. I guess that I have a great range of different styles of metal that spark my interest. lol

Um, yes. I like all sorts of metal; Mastodon, Cradle of Filth, Iron Maiden, Amon Amarth, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Sodom, Dimmu Borgir, Finntroll, Ensiferum, Tyr, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Opeth, Bathory, Dark Throne, Municipal Waste, Enslaved, Deftones, Obituary, Goatwhore...

I don't really like anything that's core. Except Job For A Cowboy.

I like black metal a lot, which got started with weird bands like Borknagar, folk-BM like Belenos but finally I heard Peste Noire and kinda fell in love with the French black metal scene which is just'a raging right now. I'm definitely guilty of not listening to a lot of the 'classic' metal bands that inspired much newer bands,... but I like listening to current stuff. :S Right now, I'm into bands like Alda, Altar of Plagues, Foscor, Gris, and the regular hard-hitters like Alcest and of course amesoeurs and anything Neige touches. I'll admit, I'm a fangirl! D:

Huzzah for Sleep & OM. I know they're related bands, but I really like OM's concept, theme and sound a lot.

All of those bands are familiar to me. Opeth and Nevermore were some of the first metal bands I really got into and my interests have grown from there.

- I got to see OM last February and it was utterly mind blowing. One of the greatest concerts I've ever seen in my life. Absolutely earth moving. I wasn't able to go see Sleep last time I knew they were playing, though, hopefully next time.

I'm horrible with determining which metal sub-genre is which, or if a song is even metal vs rock, so forgive me if this doesn't count. But I really like the metal band Brocas Helm.

I think most of the metal I listen to is nuMetal, at least so I have been told, I like a tiny bit of Korn and moreso Nonpoint. I used to like Disturbed when I was younger but I hate them now. Same with Motograter who I can't even listen to now without cringing at the lyrics.

I also really like Flaw and I have since I was young but again people told me its nuMetal and I will never understand the difference lol

Edit: I noticed somebody mentioned Deftones. I didn't know they were considered metal but I LOVE them, they are one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time

So here it is: I love Municipal Waste, Sacred Reich, Sabaton, Napalm Death, Amon Amarth, Alestorm (not Halestorm, ALESTORM), Nile, Helloween, Tyr, all bands with my pet names, Mayhem and a lot of others. I really don't want to make a giantic list here, I just want revive this thread.

I've been trying to listen to some more metal, since I'm bad about sticking to the same handful of bands or even just one handful of songs from a band haha. My fave band of all time is Blind Guardian and Eluveitie is probs my second on the list, but I also like some Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, HammerFall, The Sword, and Pentagram. I used to like Elvenking a lot, but listening to them lately I'm not sure I like them as much anymore. I'm also in denial about liking DragonForce (at least their older stuff, they have like two albums I've never listened to at all). I guess you could say I'm pretty firmly in the power metal/symphonic metal corner haha.

I could go on forever about bands I've been trying to get into (ones that I like a few songs from but haven't listened to much else yet), but I won't.

I rather like a band from Sheffield called MAGNUM
