Random Event A Maliss looks up at you, but walks away before you can catch it. :(

UGH! I've had this happen multiple times. How do I get the Maliss to stay?? :( Please explain

I don't think there is a way for the Maliss to stay. It just seems like yet another one of those random events that does nothing at all.
