I've visited the school I'm going to be going to for a tour, but that's about it. They haven't really had anything going on welcoming new students yet. I'm nervous but at the same time I'm really excited to be out of high school and away from my family.

Because my course had interviews, I had to wait for months until I heard back. All my friends had been accepted (or not, in some cases) and I didn't know whether I'd be going to uni or not until about June of the year we were due to start.

Sooo. Stay calm, don't worry too much about it. Everyone else that applied for the same thing as you, wherever they come from, will probably be feeling the same way. You can all laugh about it when you get there. :D

I was accepted around March, but I've never been to the college I'm going to and I won't get to go until I actually start going to college in August. (I live across the ocean from it.)

I'm sure you'll do fine. Colleges like to cause tension this way. ;D

I didn't know whether I had gotten accepted to Uni until July, starting September 1st :P of course, this is a different country with a different system, but still: calm down. If you're unsure, is there any administration you can contact and ask?

I got accepted around early to mid March, but we had to have the colleges' decisions by now to meet a May 1 deadline for giving them your acceptance/declination. As long as there aren't any deadlines that have passed then I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe just call the admissions office and ask what a normal time frame is?

I'm practically bouncing off the walls waiting to go to college. I visited my university last August and loved it. And I might also be skipping my Freshman year with AP credit, so now I'm trying to straighten out my major/minor(s). It's looking like I'll be taking a shitload of languages (right now I'm looking at a major in linguistics and minors in Hispanic languages and French).

I've gone to a couple things at the school and gotten together with groups of people in NYC. It's gonna be sooo awesome. I was ED, so I know I'm gonna get the dorm I want. I just got a t-shirt from the Hillel and have an ED short as well. I have health forms to fill out and I just got my June Advising letters in the mail yesterday. It has all the stuff about picking courses, taking placement tests, and FY seminars. I'm glad that my advising day is at the perfect time. I'm so excited to go!

Downside: AP tests next week Math and Foreign Language placements tests have to be done before May 25th.

I got accepted the Christmas before school started... in August. XD I have no clue why I applied so friggin' early, but it was an amazing present to receive. :) I think they actually required me to apply so early -- I know the June before school started I had Freshman Orientation and before that was a voluntary go-around of the campus to ask professors & whatnot. What a blast it all was! :)

It's cool! I got accepted back at the beginning of December and school starts in August for me too.

What schools did you apply to that you heard back so late? I had applied for college in December and found out by February. Usually most schools have a 2-3 month turnaround on that sort of thing.

Good luck, though! :)

I assume it's something similar to Tax Day. If all these kids are sending their applications at around the same time, then there's obviously going to be a huge influx for them to deal with. The earlier you send it in, the quicker the response -- the later you send it in, the later the response. :)
