In my English class, we have to practice writing letters of intent.

If I get it, that's where you have to convince someone that you're the best choice for the job/school/whatever, right?

It's veeeery awkward. Ind I'm just writing it for a class.

Have you guys ever had to write a letter of intent or a resume?

i had to write a letter of intent for my senior project this year. it was more of a letter to our teacher, telling him/her, what our project was and how we wanted to get it done and just basic information like that. c:

I'm awesome.

You're welcome for my time, Caitlin❤️

Yeah, I don't think that'll work.

I think, of resumes, cover letters are the worse. Because it's a fucking SUMMARY of you as a person. D: I hate writing about myself anyways, then they add the fact that it's the first thing a potential employer will judge me on...

I suck at writing up a resume. I'm not really that amazing at anything, other than typing... and art, to an extent... and photography. None of those things are really sought after in my area. Like, I can't apply at Walmart and be like... oh hey, I can type fast and take good pictures and draw like a beast! Hire me to be a cashier plz!

I have no people skills. I might talk too much online, but get me in a real-life social situation and I'm worthless. xD

i think it is different when you have a certain level of confidence. if i had to write a random resume for a random position at a random company/school... then of course it is awkward.

but if i had to sell myself for a specialized position at something i KNOW i excel at... then i am not afraid to talk and brag until the cows come home. i can talk about my experiences with floral design like there is no tomorrow.... and be secure in exactly what i am saying. there is a certain confidence in knowing.

perhaps a good idea to help with your paper is to reduce the playing field to something you KNOW you are good at.

Yes, it sucks because you freak out wanting to not over do it, but add enough information to be accepted... ;c
