my neighbors if they don't stop blasting gospel music at 7am. It's good you have faith and shit, but I, personally, don't give enough of a fuck to have to listen to it when I could be sleeping.

To give you an idea about how loud it is, I went out into the hall and walked the whole length of it and it did not take away from the volume.

These people obviously don't understand the concept of quiet hours.

It's really sad though that if I were to turn my music all the way up, I would get in trouble. They get a pardon for "PRAISINGTHALAWD!"

1- love your HA. 2- that totally fails. I once had a neighbor who constantly blasted his music. I went over and pounded on the door for five minutes and he didn't hear me... because of his music.

lol. :| I'd go over there and complain anyway. Praising the Lord is fine and all, but I think that the Lord would be happier if you didn't piss thy neighbors off with your music while praising him.

What makes you think they get a pass because of the content? Have you actually tried doing anything about it? Such as notifying authorities, landlord, etc.?

It was quite funny...awhile back people called the police because our dogs barked when there were people around our yard. Police came to our door at midnight to tell us we had to bring the dogs in. So we started bringing them in at night. Three nights later the neighbors who complained to the police about our noisy dogs had their truck broken into and the stereo system stolen. xD

File a noise complaint with the police. That will shut them up. :)

Or just ask them to turn it down or wait until later to play it.

Haha! I would totally do that if I had a place to go other than here because that would def. get me kicked out. I'm pretty much barred from going home for a while. So that isn't really an option.

I have asked them to turn it down and my roommate had even talked to the dorm directors when she was here and they have done nothing about it.

Just keep making complaints. Be the squeaky wheel that gets the oil.

you need to make ALL of your complaints and requests, either to the neighbors directly or to whomever has control, in writing....preferably make the same request/complaint as a CC to the directors so that everyone knows that everyone knows.

then, if nothing is done, you can go after the directors.

lol, that would get on my nerves... But then again, i have neighbours that blast drum and bass so that our entire house shakes. But still, i'd prefer that to gospel music. :P As others have asked, have you asked them to turn it down?

Heh... I get that with my neighbours except it's extremely loud lebanese music. Tyvm for ruining my study sessions.

I've got neighbours that blast music out, and SING to it. In a very out-of-tune fashion. New Year's Eve = scary times. Cause then, the other neighbours join them, for double the fun.

I feel for you. We have a couple of Polish students living 2 doors way from us and they have parties pretty much every weekend.

thats why its ok to do it in churcch:/ but ask them if they have ipods or something, so they wont have to blast it.

You could always set up a projector so it's aiming towards their house, or aimed outside of a window so they'll see it somehow, and get a loudspeaker, and project an image of Satan onto something and boom "IF YOU DON'T STOP PLAYING THAT MUSIC TOO LOUD YOU'RE GOING TO HELL" through the loudspeaker... add a smoke machine for bonus points. =)

I would have killed them already. People Jesusing me at 7AM would not be good.

That's just...annoying that they get away with religious music. It's still music that blaring too loud and too early in the morningO.o

Play some screamo at midnight. ;]

Or, when they turn off their music, tell them that they need to stop because not everybody likes waking up at seven.
